GPB RADIO

Dear GPB Donor,

As we move into August and look toward the fall season, GPB has many important programs and initiatives that we want to share with you.

Among the television highlights this month, GPB will carry PBS NewsHour’s special coverage of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, taking place respectively the weeks of August 17 and August 24.

We’re also taking a deeper look at the issue of race in America with a series of films PBS has curated for online screening events listed below. Additionally, we are proud to partner with the Jessye Norman School of the Arts to produce Shots in the Back: Exhuming the 1970 Augusta Riot, a new six-episode podcast which tells the story of one of the first major Civil Rights era riots in the South and its relevance today. As a public media organization, it is GPB’s hope to deepen understanding and foster conversation around these topics with our programming.

This month’s cover story focuses on the new season of Endeavour. Though we look forward each week to seeing how the series’ seasoned detectives will break each case, it’s no mystery to us that GPB could not deliver all of these vital programs and resources without your support.

Thank you for your devotion as a loyal donor of GPB. Your support makes it possible for us to continue our work and serve communities across the state and beyond.

Teya Ryan, GPB President and CEO
