- The transition area will only be open to competitors and will remain open throughout the duration of the event so if you are preparing to race or have finished racing, please be aware of competitors who are still racing, they will have right of way!
- It is important that you understand where all the entrances and exits are and where your bike is in relation to these!
- Also make sure you set out your equipment, so that when you come into transition from the first run your bike gear is ready to go and similarly, when you return from the bike leg, your running gear is ready to go for the second run.
The Run
Your race number must be clearly visible on the front of your outer clothing.
- It is YOUR responsibility to ensure you have a clear understanding of where you are going & what you are doing. Each race will have a briefing before the start and there is opportunity to recce the course the day before. We advise you to do this if you are local.
- Follow the links to view the run courses:
RUN COURSES
On the virtual links you can scroll around the course with your cursor, hovering over the profile at the bottom of the map.
The Run route will be fully signed and marshalled in key points HOWEVER it is your responsibility to be familiar with the Run course, do not just follow the person in front of you.
KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND LOOK OUT FOR SIGNS!
THE BIKE – No roads bikes (MTB or CX bikes only)
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and ensure you have familiarised yourself with the bike routes if you haven’t had chance to recce the course.

- After your bike leg is completed, head back towards the transition area.
- Dismount just before the DISMOUNT LINE and then run/walk with your bike into transition and rack it in the same place you left from.
- Once your bike is racked, you are permitted to take off your helmet, change to your running gear and head out of transition for your 2nd Run.
NOTE: There is are also 1 cattle grid to ride over, near the bridge & the left turn when you head back to the lake). Cattle grids will be boarded up BUT please ensure you recce these pre-event and ride straight over them and not at an angle. This means you need to slow down before the cattle grid and change into an easier gear so you can then accelerate once over the grid safely. Both cattle grids will be covered with boards & matting.
Please note: all the roads used in this route are open to the public. Marshalls are positioned as a presence, NOT to stop traffic for you!
The bike route will be fully signed and marshalled in key points HOWEVER it is your responsibility to familiarise with the bike course and have a clear understanding go what you are doing and where you are going.
