Eneractive Eye ON WHAT WOULD A POWER INTERRUPTION
COST YOUR BUSINESS? If you knew in advance what a power interruption would cost your business, would you make different decisions regarding the reliability of your systems? How fast do you estimate your business could recover from a potentially severe or catastrophic power failure event?
Are you prepared for the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season?

Be Prepared
Being prepared for an energy crisis is so much more than the occasional testing of your back-up generator. The generator is integral part of the solution, however; most are designed to handle only your facility’s critical electricity needs. It’s very important to assess your entire building and operations to understand the full impact that an electrical failure could have on your facility’s mechanical operations, HVAC, lighting and machinery.
▶▶
An Emergency Response Plan (ERP) can help you determine the cost effectiveness of a comprehensive strategy to remain operational, or at least partially operational, during extended periods of power interruption.
▶▶
Plan Ahead
Due to our own need to create an ERP after Hurricane Sandy left two of our offices without power for over a week, we understand the best way to prepare for an energy emergency disruption is long before it ever happens. Power outages lasting weeks - not days or hours - are now a part of our planning; even a small power interruption during a hurricane, snowstorm, or a utility substation failure can have a substantial bottom line impact on operations.
Emergency Response Plan
Our team of specialists can help you develop an integrated and proactive ERP designed to meet your energy needs. With multiple levels of preparedness and proper measures in place, ENERActive's tailored ERP can assist you and your business in the event of an unforeseen power interruption. The ERP will provide: An energy and financial assessment A detailed procedure on what to do and how to respond to a power disruption The opportunity to show you smart ways to take advantage of the financial incentives that could be available.

Energy Response Program (ERP) in place? Does my staff know exactly what procedure they should follow in the event of a power disruption? What would be the hardship and financial impact to my business if power were lost for several days, a week or much longer? Do I have an emergency electric back-up generation system and most importantly where is it safely located in my building? What critical energy systems are on my generator to keep my business operational?
These are just a few of the many questions building owners and managers are now asking themselves in retrospect to the recent hurricanes that have hit the east coast, and in preparation for upcoming events. ENERActive Solutions energy engineering team has an affordable program in place that we are providing for Commercial, Industrial and Institutional facilities to assess their preparedness for emergencies as it relates to power failures.

ALTENEX
As a sponsor of the Green Gigawatt Partnership, Altenex has been closely aligned with the mission of the Partnership, which is to help sustainability professionals in the higher education industry to catalyze one gigawatt of generation capacity by 2020. This initiative was created through the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) in order to provide support for on-campus solar projects, as well as large offsite renewable projects.
DELTA
In February, Delta Energy Services attended the Ohio State University Career Fair for the opportunity to meet with students who hope to pave a career path in energy services.
SOCORE
In February, SoCore signed a 25-year purchase power agreement with Dairyland Power Cooperative for a 1.25 megawatt solar farm in Mount Hope. The installation has the potential to provide energy for 300 homes over the course of 1 year. SoCore has also signed on as a partner for an $11 million solar project in Kearney, Nebraska. Upon completion, the project will generate an estimated 5.8 megawatts of electricity, which accounts for nearly 5% of Kearney's peak demand.
