August Newsletter Happy August everyone!!! We would like to thank all the parents that came out to movie in the park on July 26 th and purchased popcorn in support of the daycare fundraiser. We were able to raise $900.00 towards our playground upgrade fund!!! We will be doing a lot of outside water play this month, so please make sure your child has a swimsuit, towel and extra clothing here at the center. Water walkers or any other type of water shoes are also a great idea to have for water play time. We are in need of plastic shopping bags. If you have any Safeway/Walmart type bags, we would gladly take them off your hands.
Policy: Arrivals and Departures Children are to arrive clean and fed. You must walk your child into the classroom that they are assigned to and be sure that a caregiver knows they have arrived. Please, inform emergency contact, or people designated to pick up your child, that if the worker does not know them, they will need to show photo identification. This is not meant to offend them. This is simply a measure taken for your child’s protection. We will not let a child leave without a parent’s verbal permission even if that person is listed as one of your designated pick-up people. So let us know! Safety is important especially during meal times. Please make sure your child’s lunch comes properly prepared. Grapes, cherry tomatoes, hot dogs and food of similar size must be sliced. Cherries must be pitted and cut in half. These and other small round foods can be a choking hazard especially for the infants. If food is sent not properly prepared, it will be sent home. For further details and/or concerns please check with a teacher. Please make sure your file is up-to-date. Phone number, address and job changes are important to keep files current for emergency contact purposes. If you have any questions or concerns please stop by the office or call the center.
