December Newsletter Welcome Back Ronda!!! After what seemed like a lifetime, our manager Ronda has returned!! She is available in the office between the hours of 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday for all your daycare related needs. This year has gone by so quickly and as we head into December we would like to remind all parents that we are closed as of December 21 st and we re-open on January 4th 2016. Billing for the month of December is as per usual, and there will be no adjustments (This includes part time spots). Our Daily/Monthly rate is calculated to include days that the centre is not open throughout the year. *We will not be having a professional development day this month, so no early closure* Although our temperatures have been above seasonal, we still require full winter gear for each child. We are able to and will be going outside until temperatures get below -15 degrees ( Including wind-chill). If your child does not have appropriate outdoor clothing we will be calling parents to bring some immediately. We will not be keeping children inside so please make sure you bring your child fully prepared to avoid them being cold during outside playtime.

Please make sure to turn your vehicle off while drop off and picking up your child. Idling for the few minutes it takes to drop off/pick up your child is not necessary and it is very unhealthy as we can smell it inside the building. The Christmas season is truly about giving and it is good to instill this in all children. On that note we will be participating in the Moose FM/Troyer Toy Drive again this year. The box will available for donations between December 3trd - 11th. Donations of new unwrapped toys and teen items will be gladly accepted. On December 18th we will be having a special surprise visitor!! (It’s Santa but let’s not tell the children). If your child has a fear of Santa, please advise a teacher so we are aware. We will also be having a pot luck lunch and we will be posting a sign-up sheet next week. Please note that the pot luck is for the 3-5 program only. The IT program will not be participating and all infants will need lunches that day. If you have any questions/concerns feel free to come into the office or call the centre (250)793-5437 Ronda Reid Manager
