February I/T Newsletter We made it through January!! However, we are still unsure as to what season we are in!! Due to this, please make sure you have proper outdoor clothing for your child each day. It is much easier to assume that we are going out each day, just to be safe. Speaking of clothing, don’t forget to regularly check your child’s bathroom cubby to ensure that there are always diapers/underwear, and that the spare clothes still fit your child. As you all know we will administer prescription and non-prescription medications. However, the proper forms must be filled out, and medication MUST be given to a teacher, not left in the cubbies. This is for safety reasons. Don’t forget that Scholastic Book Orders go out each month. They have a huge selection of books, for children of all ages, and offer numerous monthly deals. Not only are books important for your children, but they are great gifts, and each penny spent helps the centre get credits!!!

“You are never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.” - Dr. Seuss We are looking for donations to work on our fine motor and sensory experiences. We are looking fo things such as magnets, baking sheets, clasps, latches, snaps, velcro pieces, locks, calculators etc… Please ask the staff to see example pictures if you are interested. Parents! Please check your child’s lunch kit and your kitchen drawers for silverware that may not be yours. We seem to be missing a lot at the centre. Thanks!! Reminders:  We will be closed for Family Day on Monday, February 13th  Early closure is Tuesday, February 28th. Pick up by 4pm sharp! Late fees will apply.

If you have any questions/concerns, please come into the office or call the centre @ 250-793-5437 Janice Gibos - Manager
