November 2015 newsletter

November Newsletter The weather outside is cooling down quickly and winter gear is now mandatory for all children (both sides)! Snow suits, waterproof gloves/mitts, boots and toques are required every day. These items must be labeled!!! If your child does not have appropriate outdoor clothing on an “outside” day, a teacher will be calling to have it brought to daycare. WE DO NOT HAVE EXTRA WINTER GEAR AVAILABLE! *Please note that both sides go outdoors daily depending on weather and safety of the playground. If you have any questions and/or concerns about outdoor playtime, please feel free to ask. Vehicle idling is strictly prohibited in all of the daycare parking areas. The cold heavy air of the winter months brings the exhaust into the building through the air vents and small openings in the doors and windows. We understand it is cold outside, but since it takes the average vehicle engine approximately 45 minutes to cool, there is no reason that vehicles need to be left running while children are being picked up and dropped off. Remember it is your children breathing in those exhaust fumes!
