The IPP Office is at the heart of efforts to diversify the energy mix, ensuring a secure and sustainable power supply by procuring renewable and non-renewable energy from the private sector. Beyond energy procurement, the IPP Procurement Programme (IPPPP) plays a critical role in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and fostering social upliftment. By stimulating an indigenous renewable energy industry and broadening economic ownership, the programme is laying the groundwork for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
This session will explore the role of the IPP Office in shaping South Africa’s energy landscape, the opportunities it creates for young professionals, and how you can become part of the country’s next generation of energy leaders. Whether you're interested in policy, project development, or the economic impact of energy projects, this discussion will provide key insights into how energy development can drive youth employment and economic transformation.
