We like to think that each exceptional property and service in our collection speaks for itself * Which is why we would rather not burden you with lengthy descriptions or clichĂŠd platitudes. We'd prefer merely to introduce you - simply and conveniently - to some of South Africa's (and Africa's) most celebrated and unashamedly upmarket travel offerings. Every privately owned property and boutique service you encounter here has been carefully selected for its singular style, authentic sense of sophistication and devotion to all things impeccable. Each is characterized by excellence pure and simple. We've been uniting discerning travelers and properties of distinction for years. Suffice to say, we think we're rather good at fulfilling this sole mission: to bring Africa's finest spaces to the world. It seems we're not alone - indeed, you may well be holding this guide as a result of a recommendation. Whatever the reason, however, we hope these pages will leave you inspired.
*To assist you in making an informed decision, however, we've showcased each unique offering in one equally extraordinary portfolio - the Yellow Guide by Inspirational Places

Here at Klein Genot we are working hard to become carbon neutral in the next couple of years. We will do this by starting to implement the following: Limiting energy usage and emissions from transportation and in the buildings on the property, the planting of more trees and recycling. We will strive to reduce our carbon footprint to zero. We recycle water for the use in the vineyards and replace implements and vehicles that use low fuel consumption. We are also members of BEE. Lily Pond Environmental consciousness and sustainability are a way of life at Lily Pond where alien vegetation has been replaced with indigenous species, grey water is recycled and guests are encouraged to use water sparingly. Fair-trade principles are vigorously applied here and three employees (including the owner) have obtained their Fairtrade certification.

Sick and critically ill staff & villagers are always helped with medical care and transport to the hospital. The initiative forms part of the Spaces for Sport project which provides sporting facilities for the communities of Gansbaai. The project aims to unify, educate and raise broader awareness of the local community and its needs through the joy and sportsmanship of the beautiful game.
