LADIES & FootballPLAYING FOR A CAUSE
In honor of the annual Alzheimer’s Association Blondes vs. Brunettes RivAlz Evansville game held each June, we styled this wedding dress shoot in conjunction with their colors purple and white. This year’s game was held on Saturday June 2, 2018, at Harrison High School and was presented by Raben Tires and The Women’s Hospital. The first RivAlz game was held in 2011 and since its inception has raised around $250K. The funds for the event go back to the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter helping local families with education, supporting advance critical research studies into methods of treatment, assisting with the prevention and ultimately a cure, and helping to speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s through their public policy initiatives.
The Alzheimer’s Association shares that: • Over 5 million Americans are living with
Alzheimer’s, and it is projected to raise to 16 million by 2050. • The cost of caring for those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias is estimated to total $277 billion in 2018. • One in every three seniors that pass away, has Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
It kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. • Alzheimer’s Disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.
