DLP3000-Q1 Chipset Allowed Head-up Displays Increase to Maximum 12 Degrees DLP3000-Q1 chipset belonging to the Texas instrument has allowed increase in the head-up displays by using a field view to maximum 12 degrees. For this, it has combined the fine imaging capabilities of the technology named as DLP i.e. Digital Light Processing with the automated grade of reliability. Thus, in this way, the chip set has become one of the widely used sources in the competitive industry. Another major capability of this Texas-based chipset it is that it gives high level of brightness, contrast levels, color combinations with the aim to bring both accuracy and flexibility of the DLP Cinema DMD or Digital Micro mirror Device to allow for automotive windshields. Chipset Composition Chipset of the Texas-based device incorporates WVGA digital micro mirror device, DLP 0.3in and fully functional DLPC1 controller. In addition, the facility of head-up display available in combination with wide field of vision as allowed by chipset allows for augmentation of reality elements, like landmark details in real-time and navigational indicators to display within the line of sight of the driver with a perfect depth perception of more than 2 meters to 20 meters. The new chipset often delivers brightness equal to 15,000 c.d. per square meter, along with dynamic dimming range equal to 5000:1. DLP Technology Eliminates Polarization Requirements One of the specialties of DLP technology is that it never requires the polarization of light. Because of this, it allows for head-up displays of the automated OEMs design, which remain visible while drivers wear polarized types of eyewear. In addition, as DLP technology is agnostic towards the source of light, one can use the technique with Light Emitting Diodes abbreviated as LEDs to provide a better future path towards laser-based light sources once they become available properly to qualify the automotive heading up display applications.
