Our Story

The terms and guarantees listed on this page shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller of each animal sold. Announcements from the auction box will take precedence over the printed matter in this catalog and all other announcements made online or otherwise.

BIDDING

Each animal on which there are two or more bids will be sold to the highest bidder.

TERMS

All sales are final. All cattle will be paid for immediately following the sale, unless prior arrangements have been made. All purchases will be settled for in U.S. funds by cash, cashier’s check or personal check with bank letter of guarantee. No drafts will be accepted. Checks must be made payable to England Cattle Co. All buyers must register in person at the sale office or online with Cattle in Motion to receive a buyer number and other important information.

DISPUTES

The auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids and his decision on such matters will be final.

LIABILITIES

All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk and England Cattle Co. and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accident that may occur. England Cattle Company or sale management accepts no liability for the animals after they are sold.

BREEDERS GUARANTEE

Every animal in this sale is, to the best of the breeder’s knowledge, free from any disease and are all sound. Bred females will be considered breeders without further guarantee. Buyer has 30 days from the date of the sale to have an accredited veterinarian check pregnancy status of bred females. Open or exposed females will be guaranteed by the seller to be a breeder. If an animal fails to breed it may be returned to the seller in good condition. Seller reserves the right to try said animal for six months and if it proves to be a breeder, return it at the buyer’s expense. If the animal proves to be a non-breeder, an animal of comparable rank or credit on the purchase of another animal will be offered.

HEALTH

All necessary health papers will be furnished in order for the cattle to be shipped anywhere.

TRANSPORTATION

It is the responsibility of the buyer to make all shipping and transportation arrangements. All cattle must be picked up from England Cattle Co. (ECC) within 30 days of the sale. Any cattle left at ECC after 30 days will be subject to a daily feeding and management charge of $15 per day, unless prior arrangement have been made. Cattle purchased within a 150 mile radius of Mercedes, Texas will be delivered at no charge. Transportation services will be offered the day of the sale. We greatly appreciate our generous bidders and buyers. Contact sale management to discuss shipping arrangements.

LOT-SPECIFIC TERMS

Lot 1: ECC will retain half (1/2) interest in ECC Polled Bluebell 460/0 and ECC Polled Velvet 485/0. Buyer will be purchasing half (1/2) interest (ownership and possession) of heifer chosen. ECC is willing to continue to show the heifer for the duration of her show career with approval from buyer and agreement that all show costs including but not limited to feeding, registration fees and travel expenses will be split 50/50. Lots 5-7: Heifers to remain in ECC’s possession until weaned and halter broke. Heifers will be halter broke at sellers expense. Lots 2-7; 9-17: ECC reserves the right to one (1) flush or the split of two (2) flushes, minimum of six (6) embryos on all heifers in the sale. Lot 8: ECC will retain half (1/2) interest in ECC Polled William 352/9 and ECC Polled Harry 353/9. Buyer will be purchasing half (1/2) interest (ownership and possession) of bull chosen. ECC is willing to continue to show the bull for the duration of his show career with approval from buyer and agreement that all show costs including but not limited to feeding, registration fees and travel expenses will be split 50/50. Lots 18-21: All semen sales are for in-herd AI and ET use, only. Semen sales are non-refundable and non-transferable. Upon calving, ECC will provide buyers with a maximum of five (5) certificates. Additional certificates may be purchased for $100 per certificate.

Got to www.CattleInMotion.com. Once on Cattle In Motion, click on England Cattle Co. “Brahmans on the Rio” Production Sale. Scroll down to the bottom of the event page and click on Click Here to Bid on and watch, and this will take you to Live Sale Platform. You must create an account to bid on this sale. Go to the top right and create an account. If you already have an account, Click on England Cattle Co. “Brahmans on the Rio” Production Sale and accept the terms and conditions of the sale. In order to bid you must have entered a credit card to verify your identity. CIM will not charge your credit card for purchases from the sale. Sale Staff will contact you about paying for your purchases. After all these steps are followed you will be able to click on the Enter Auction button. This Sale will have pre-bidding, this means prior to the sale you will be able to place bids on lots that will then be applied to lots during the live sale. Pre-bidding will open at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 21 and will continue until one hour before the LIVE sale broadcast begins.
