College Will Stage “Everybody” The theater program at York College of Pennsylvania will present the play “Everybody” at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday, Nov. 21, through Saturday, Nov. 23, in the Perko Black Box Theatre at the college, 441 Country Club Road, York. Directed by Rebecca Etzine and written by Branden JacobsJenkins, the play will showcase the struggles of the character named Everybody as they face death and desperately search for someone or something to accompany them to the great unknown. All actors and designers are enrolled in the Performance in Practice course taught by Etzine, a professional director from Baltimore. The character of Everybody is played by Theo Muhammad, a junior theater major from Forestville, Md. The Usher,

played by senior theater major Charity Stump of York, and Death, played by junior theater major Kayla Manigault from Baltimore, watch over Everybody as they make their journey in this modern depiction of facing death. Some parts in the play are decided by lottery each night in front of the audience as the randomness of life and death is explored. “Everybody” is an adaptation of a famous medieval theater script, “Everyman.” As many plays did at that time, its purpose was to try and make sense of the unknowable. Tickets are free, but reservations are recommended as seating is limited. Reservations are available at www.ycp.edu/theatre or by calling the box office at 717-600-3868.

Tour To Return BAPS Motor Speedway owner Scott Gobrecht and general manager Kolten Gouse have worked hard to preserve the history of the Super Sportsman division. When Gobrecht purchased the speedway at the end of 2015, the Super Sportsman class was brought on as the headliner. Two years ago, the duo instituted a Hall of Fame to honor the past and current greats who have made an impact on the division. The management team wants to continue to tap into the past to move the division forward. To do so, Gobrecht and Gouse have announced that they are bringing back the Super Sportsman Tour, which will be highlighted by an eightrace schedule in 2020. According to Gouse, the decision was made as a way to grow the division, as the Super Sportsman Tour was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s and is known to be a competitive class. Marysville Motorcars has come on board as the title sponsor for the series. The winner of the series will receive $1,000, with second place receiving $500. The top 10 in points will receive money at the end of the season. The eight-race series will be contested at four different tracks with different sizes and characteristics. Lincoln Speedway will host three events, with Big Diamond Speedway and Trail-Way Speedway holding single events. BAPS Motor Speedway will also have three designated races. The Marysville Motorcars Super Sportsman Tour schedule for 2020 is as follows: Saturday, April 11 - Lincoln Speedway; Saturday, April 25 BAPS Motor Speedway; Friday, May 15 - Big Diamond Speedway; Saturday, June 6 Lincoln Speedway; Saturday, June 27 - BAPS Motor Speedway; Saturday, July 18 - Lincoln Speedway; Friday, Aug. 14 - Trail-Way Speedway; and Saturday, Sept. 5 - BAPS Motor Speedway. WellSpan Cancer Centers Honored

Kimberly and Dana Fink of York have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Fink of York, to Joshua Markle of Dover. The bride-elect graduated from West York Area High School in 2011 and Millersville University in 2016. She received her master’s degree from Millersville University in 2018 and is employed by NAVSUP in Mechanicsburg. The groom-to-be is the son of James and Debbie Markle of York. He graduated from Central York High School in 2002 and York Technical Institute in 2004. He is employed by H2O To Go Inc. in Maytown. A May 2020 wedding is planned.

The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) has honored WellSpan Cancer Centers of York as one of the recipients of its 2019 Innovator Awards for its achievements in oncology care. WellSpan Cancer Centers was honored for developing and implementing a radiation oncology app to improve the patient experience. Dissatisfied with the limited support in patient education materials, the WellSpan Oncology Service Line developed a mobile app to offer its radiation oncology patients on-demand access to treatment- and disease-specific education. The app incorporates patient appointment and treatment schedules, a symptom tracker, secure messaging with care team members, access to support services and more. And since it is connected to WellSpan’s electronic health record (EHR), clinicians can use the app data to monitor patient symptoms and side effects. WellSpan and the other recipients
