The Garden Spot High School Students of the Month for September are Rebecca Gortman, Elizabeth Matsanka, Katelyn Davis and Alan Krock. They were honored for demonstrating leadership. High school principal Matthew Sanger presented the students to the school board at its October meeting.
Rebecca, a freshman, is the daughter of Gina and Vladimir Gortman of Narvon. Rebecca has been listed on the honor roll since middle school and is involved in the Youth Alive club. Elizabeth, a sophomore, is the daughter of Colleen Christ of New Holland and Kevin Matsanka. Elizabeth is a member of the cheerleading squad and president of the Class of 2025.
Katelyn, a junior, is the daughter of Dana and Michael Davis of East Earl. Katelyn has taken several honors courses and been included on the honor roll since middle school. She is also a member of the cheerleading squad.
Alan, a senior, is the son of Brad and Sharon Krock of Narvon. He has taken several Advanced Placement courses and maintained honor roll status since middle school. Alan is also a member of the cross-country team.

The Fulton Theatre, 12 N. Prince St., Lancaster, announced the complete casting of its holiday production of Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas.” Will Ray as Bob Wallace and Hanley Smith as Betty Haynes will join forces once again. Ray and Smith will partner with Fulton Theatre newcomers Luke Hawkins as Phil Davis and Sarah Meahl as Judy Haynes in this song and dance spectacular.
“White Christmas” will open on Thursday, Nov. 17, and run through Saturday, Dec. 31. Previews will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15, and Wednesday, Nov. 16. Presenting classics such as “Blue Skies,” “I Love a Piano,” “Love, You Didn’t Do Right By Me,” “Sisters,” and the title song, the cast of 29 and live orchestra of 10 will perform the largest dance show of this season at the Fulton Theatre.
