St. Edward’s Posts Open House
St. Edward’s Episcopal Church, 2453 Harrisburg Pike, Landisville, will host an open house on Saturday, June 25, from noon to 6 p.m. The church will unveil its stainedglass window during the event. The church’s fiber arts guild, the Woolwrights, will hold a silent auction of items its members have made. Proceeds will benefit the group’s educational fund, which enables training and education in the fiber arts. In addition to bidding, attendees may visit the Woolwrights’ demonstration tables featuring fine rug hooking, wide cut, proddy skill, and rug hooking with alternate fabrics. Final bids will be announced at 6 p.m. One of the pieces up for bids will be a panel from the church’s stained-glass window. Attendees may also purchase Pysanky eggs and proddy sunflowers to benefit Ukrainian relief efforts.
Swing Street will perform a concert of blend of jazz standards and jazz adaptations from 4 to 6 p.m., and a freewill offering will be received. Light refreshments will be served throughout the open house.

Last year, 200 volunteers participated in organizing and running the art festival, but the organization can always use more helpers. Ellis pointed out that board members are volunteers. “All of this is a community service,” he said. “We are grateful for the entire board.”
LPAF board member Janice Henry spoke about upcoming events and fundraisers the organization has planned, and Kirchner closed the event.
