Free Takeout Meal Planned

Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 E. Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, will offer a free meal to the community through its Joseph’s Table ministry on Thursday, July 21. Meals will be available for takeout only from 5:30 to 6 p.m.; attendees are asked to note the time change.

Annual Ice Cream Trail Returns

This summer, Pennsylvanians can beat the heat and get a sweet treat by visiting any of the 30 creameries that make up the 2022 Scooped: An Ice Cream Trail. The fifth annual Ice Cream Trail offers a way to support Pennsylvania’s more than 5,200 dairy farm families and the small businesses that source from them while offering a unique opportunity to explore the commonwealth by the scoop.

In addition, individuals who visit 10 of the ice cream shops will have the opportunity to receive a Scooped stainlesssteel ice cream scooper. All requirements and prize redemption must be met by Saturday, Sept. 10.

Accordion Group Sets Gathering

The First Lancaster Accordion Group (FLAG) will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, at Zion Church of Millersville, 317 N. George St., Millersville. Accordion players, music enthusiasts, and other interested parties are invited to attend.
