Women’s Club To Offer Grants
Homeschool Hands-On STEM will be held on Monday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. in the community room. To register, visit the aforementioned website; include the number of children attending and their ages.
The Daughters of Zion class at Zion Lutheran Church has donated handmade hats, along with headbands for babies, for people in need. Community members may stop by the library to choose items from the box of hats in the hallway and the baskets of mittens and headbands for children on the self-checkout desk.
The Women’s Club of Manheim will award grants of up to $1,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Manheim and the Manheim community. Grant applications are due by Tuesday, March 15, and winners will be announced by Sunday, May 1.

Boating Safety Course Planned
Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will host a Boating Safety Course on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees should meet at the Environmental Center. Adults and children over age 10 must complete this course to operate a boat or jet ski in Pennsylvania.
There is a fee. Preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number in case the program is canceled.
