Wilson emphasized that Mount Hope provides a unique service. “There is an abundance of long-term care facilities and retirement communities in Lancaster County and surrounding areas for seniors in need of nursing care to live. Mount Hope allows seniors and disabled people to live with dignity, no matter their financial circumstances,” she explained, adding that the facility has achieved five stars, Medicare’s highest rating. “At its core, the Mount Hope mission is to serve the community and offer hope by providing affordable, quality nursing care in a wholesome Christian environment based on Christ’s model of care for ‘the least of these.’”

Newport Church, 656 W. Newport Road, Elm, will offer vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14, through Friday, June 18. The program is open to children in kindergarten through grade four.

Church Returns To Summer Hours

St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 222 N. Broad Street, Lititz, will return to its summer hours schedule on Sunday, June 13. Worship services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Summer Sunday school for children in kindergarten through sixth grade will also be held.
