Aaron’s Acres To Celebrate 20 Years By Ann Mead Ash
“We are celebrating our past and looking to the future,” said Aaron’s Acres executive director Risa Paskoff. “We are where we are because of the community and the support (it provides). It has been an amazing journey, and it’s because people believe in us.” To celebrate its history and its future, the organization will hold its first gala at the Bolger Conference Center in Gordiner Hall at Millersville University, 40 James St., Millersville, on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. The event has sold out of all 200 tickets. The special guest speaker for the gala will be Kyle Maynard, who was born with a condition called congenital amputation that left him with arms that end at the elbows and legs that end
near his knees. “When he was born, his parents were told (by experts) that nothing would become of him,” said Paskoff. “(But) his parents told him he could do whatever he wanted to.” Maynard learned to move without prosthetics, and eventually became a champion wrestler, a CrossFit-certified instructor and gym owner, a competitive MMA/Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter, a world record-setting weightlifter, and a skilled mountaineer. Maynard is also a motivational speaker, bestselling author, entrepreneur, and ESPY awardwinning mixed martial arts athlete. Paskoff recalled the genesis of Aaron’s Acres more than 20 years ago, when a group of parents of children with special needs were talking about the need for camping programs for their children. “(I read) this article on
LAMS Goes To High School
Staffers and campers have been enjoying the experience offered by Aaron’s Acres, a camp that celebrates the capabilities of children with special needs, for 20 years. The organization will hold a gala in honor of those two decades of service on Dec. 8. Janiece Seldomridge (one of the founding parents), raising her son Aaron, who has autism,” explained Paskoff. “In the middle of the article, there were two sentences (about how the) parents
were looking to start a camp.” At the time, Paskoff had a counseling and therapy practice for children, but her dream was to run programs for children with special needs. See Aaron’s Acres pg 8

Five Lititz Area Mennonite School freshmen are part of the new nontraditional high school program that began with the fall semester. The flexible curriculum, which is called LAMS Collaborative Academy, focuses on preparing students to lead purposeful Christian lives in the future. By Ann Mead Ash
When Lititz Area Mennonite School (LAMS) student Tanner Martin was finishing eighth grade last school year, he was not sure where he would be going to school the next year. “My parents were debating whether I should be homeschooled or go to (another Christian school with a high
school program),” said Martin. Fortunately for Martin and his parents, LAMS unveiled a new nontraditional high school program, and Martin became one of five freshmen to enroll in the first session, which began in August. The new program, which is called LAMS Collaborative Academy, focuses on preparing students to lead purposeful Christian lives in the future. See LAMS pg 4 S H O P O U R S PE C TACU L A R

Like many of the homes in Marietta, Cynthia McComsey’s East Market Street abode boasts quite an expansive history. Stone mason Joseph Hopkins built the two-story log cabin between 1810 and 1815 after having purchased the plot of land from Andrew and Esther Hershey. The Hersheys had bought the plot in 1804 from none other than David Cook, the founder of Marietta’s east section, known as New Haven. Hopkins covered the cabin with pebbledash stucco before selling it to grocer Samuel Hipple, who split the property into two rental units.
Marietta residents Cynthia McComsey (left) and Vivian Carroll (seated) invite the community to usher in the holiday season with an assortment of upcoming events in the borough, including a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at the annual Christmas tree lighting on Nov. 24. McComsey’s home will be one of eight private residences featured on the 53rd annual Marietta Candlelight Tour of Homes on See Marietta Tour pg 9 Dec. 2, along with several historic buildings.

variety of ways. “One goal is to do internships,” said Kreider. “We have a job shadowing program this year.” Kreider added that the curriculum can be customized to fit a student’s goals. “We connect with local businesses and organizations to help prepare them with the skills … they need to be successful in the workplace or in college,” she said. Students will also have chances to perform volunteer work. “We have a service learning component that will get them out to the nonprofit organizations. So they can see our community organizations as potential career choices,” said Kreider. The program will be designed to help students complete core classes as underclassmen so they can explore further education or other career options during their

Helping the students receive information and experiences that will help them make wise career choices will involve taking them into the community in a

senior year. “The goal is to be able to offer college courses, internships, or CTC training in the senior year,” said Kreider. “If they want to enroll in community college courses, they can get those credits before they graduate.” Martin, whose career interests lean toward flying planes or racing cars, said that he is hoping to job shadow a friend’s father who is a Learjet pilot. In the meantime, he is enjoying taking a digital arts elective. Fellow freshman Alexis Weitzel, who wants to become a teacher, has already job shadowed a kindergarten teacher at Lititz Elementary School. She noted that her LAMS classes are helping her to build a foundation for teaching. Weitzel is in her fourth year of studying Spanish, and she is taking an in-person art elective with a LAMS teacher that will focus on media she enjoys working in, including painting and pottery. Kreider noted that other students are leaning toward engineering, acting, and hands-on trades as future employment choices. “I feel that each one of them is getting something unique to them from the program to prepare them for a career,” she said. According to LAMS high school director Lynelle Kreider, the program and the number of students allow for a personalized curriculum. “You get to be like a family, and it’s a very comfortable atmosphere,” explained Kreider. “Yet we want to make sure we are constantly raising the bar with our expectations to make sure they are well prepared for whatever they might face (in the future).” Required courses, which students complete online, cover English, math, science, and social studies. A required Bible course is taught by an outside expert who visits the school to give an in-person class. A variety of elective courses - both online and in person - are also offered for students to select from. “One of our students is enjoying an online

Cherry St., Lancaster, is being converted into a center for behavioral health services. Members of the public may tour the new headquarters from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, as part of the Extraordinary Give. During The GateHouse’s ExtraGive Soiree, attendees may enjoy refreshments and learn about the mission, vision, and values the organization has offered since 1972 to Lancaster County residents who struggle with addiction. Then, on Thanksgiving Eve, which is Wednesday, Nov. 21, The GateHouse will host the 39th annual TurkeyThon from 7 p.m. to midnight. According to development manager Rick Yanchuleff, the day before Thanksgiving has historically seen the heaviest usage of drugs and alcohol by folks who are struggling with the emotions and realities of the holiday.
YOUR EVERYDAY CAN
BE BETTER
TurkeyThon was created to celebrate recovery through fun, food, and fellowship. A complete turkey dinner will be served, and AA and NA meetings will be held all evening. Breakout sessions will be held on the hour, and some will have guest speakers. Counselors will be available to speak with guests. Folks may drop in at any time, and there is no charge to participate. Games and other fun activities will be available for children. “It’s a family event,” Yanchuleff said. “Addiction affects everyone.” The festivities will take place in a large tent set up on the lawn of The GateHouse Mountville, 465 W. Main St., Mountville. Parking will be located across the street in the lots of Froelich Park and Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ. The GateHouse is also working to further expand its facilities. Currently, The GateHouse runs a halfway house for approximately 20 men in Lititz and one for about 20 women in Mountville, but a new halfway house will soon be opened in the Rockefeller mansion in Marietta. The new home will have a capacity for 30 women, and the Mountville house will become a facility for men. At all of the houses, clients arrive just after they have completed detox. Once they successfully conclude a 90-day stay, the clients move into one of four transitional living houses in Lancaster city. After they graduate from that stage of the program, clients may live on their own
The GateHouse staff members (from left) Kesha-Payne Ward, Kristi Martarano, Sheri Piefly, and Rick Yanchuleff invite folks to visit the Mountville facility for the 39th annual TurkeyThon on Nov. 21. The residential substance abuse treatment organization will welcome online donations through the Extraordinary Give on Nov. 16. while receiving intensive outpatient treatment. Yanchuleff noted that the treatment program is customized to each individual. “They’re not run through a cookie-cutter process,” he said. The GateHouse is a nonprofit organization that is not specifically faith-based, but God plays an integral role in the recovery process, Yanchuleff said. Clients participate voluntarily; they are not committed. The GateHouse accepts medical assistance and some insurances as well as safe pay. To offset costs and increase awareness of the organization, Yanchuleff is working to develop a donor base. “Generally, people in recovery know of The GateHouse, but (others) don’t,” he remarked.

Lloyd’s Rides Posts Update Randy “Hoss” Caldwell of Lloyd’s Rides has announced updates to the tax-exempt organization’s operations. Caldwell said that the focus will be on attending car cruises, where he will take pictures and talk to people in attendance. Also, he will have a camera so that he can interview the car owners. The interviews will be edited and put on sites such as YouTube. He is seeking to add more working board members, with the plan that members can staff the organization’s table at car cruises and brainstorm ways to increase donations. He is also planning a giveaway drawing. The organization also has a focus on veterans and first responders, including raising awareness about suicides related to post-traumatic stress disorder. It is promoting the Manheim Veterans Memorial, as well. Additionally, it aims to help service personnel. Currently, the organization is helping an active Navy chief sell his book about having four small children and dealing with his wife dying of cancer. The group is also helping a 70-year-old Marine, Lance Cpl. Robert Quinn, who grew up locally and graduated with Caldwell from Manheim Township High School in 1966, to publish three novels, along with poems. “I met with Janiece and Peggy Rosario, who was with Special Kids Network, a program of United Disability Services, said Paskoff. “We held the (first) oneweek camp (in 1998) at the Jewish Community Center for 11 children ages 5 to 9. Paskoff said that in 1999, the camp ran for two weeks. Camps later opened opened in Berks County and Dauphin County. Since then, the program has expanded. “(Aaron’s Acres) has grown over the years because of the support and because of what the parents tell us (they want for their children), said Paskoff. “(The parents) wanted schoolyear programs in addition to camp, so now we have a program during the school year. Recently, parents were concerned because their children aged out of Aaron’s Acres at age 21, so in January 2019, Aaron’s Acres Plus for 22- to 30-year-olds will be offered. When the Jewish Community Center closed in 2014, the camp moved to the Manheim Community Pool and Memorial Park, where it is still held. The most recent six-week camp served 220 children from three counties. “Everyone comes to Manheim

now, and we provide transportation from Berks and Dauphin, explained Paskoff. The camp can serve any child regardless of medical or behavioral challenges because Paskoff recruits professional staff, including special education teachers and a nurse, for a 1-to-1 or 1-to-2 staff-tochild ratio. Looking ahead, Paskoff noted that Aaron’s Acres hopes to offer more services for children and adults with special needs. “We are hoping to continue to expand our programs (in the future), said Paskoff. Aaron’s Acres is participating in the Extraordinary Give on Friday, Nov. 16. “We will be at the Harvest Moon Bagel Company from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (that day), said Paskoff, who added that the shop is creating a signature bagel called the Aaron’s Acres bagel, which will be cinnamon flavored with apple pie cream cheese. From 4:30 to 8 p.m., Aaron’s Acres representatives will be at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince, St., Lancaster. Readers who would like to know more about the organization and its programs may visit www.aaronsacres.org.
Old Zion Church will continue its tradition of holding carol sings this year. Carol sings will take place on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2 and 4:30 p.m. This year, Break From Blue Collar, a modern barbershop quartet, will perform and lead both carol sings. Old Zion Church is a historically preserved church located at 187 Reifsnyder Road in Brickerville. The church remains in its original state from 1813, without heat or electricity. Candles and a chandelier lit annually add to the Christmas atmosphere. Attendees should dress warmly and bring flashlights to aid them in returning to their cars. In the event of inclement weather, readers may
check www.oldzionchurch.org for cancelation information. For safety reasons, if there is ice or snow on the ground on Dec. 8, the carol sings will be canceled. Free tickets are required. People may request up to six tickets for either service. Ticket requests will be accepted after Thursday, Nov. 15. For information about requesting tickets, readers may visit the aforementioned website.

One way that the St. Mark’s family aims to meet needs and touch lives right in the local community is through the church’s food ministry, including a free Thanksgiving Day dinner held annually. According to organizer Janet Lehman, St. Mark’s began serving a free Thanksgiving Day dinner in 2005, when approximately 70 people enjoyed the meal at the church. In 2017, St. Mark’s served more than 400 Thanksgiving Day dinners. Some of the meals were delivered to people’s homes, while many were enjoyed

12 - MERCHANDISER - Manheim Central Edition - November 14, 2018
Barons Dominate Mifflin in District Quarterfinals By Eric G. Stark
“That’s one down, boys,” Manheim Central football coach Dave Hahn said to his troops after last Friday’s 51-14 manhandling of Governor Mifflin in the District Three Class 5A quarterfinals in Manheim. The Barons are one step closer to their goal of a district title, their 18th in school history. Next up, Manheim will host Cedar Cliff, a 33-23 winner against Warwick
in the district semifinals 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. If you believe Hahn when he says Governor Mifflin (7-5) is a good team, then what the Barons did was even more impressive. Central, which started off slow, methodical, in many ways, eventually overwhelmed the Mustangs, the Class 5A ninth seed. The Barons defense held the Mustangs to two first downs in the first half and
forced them to punt on their first five possessions. Their sixth possession? An interception by Barons’ senior Will Rivers. Manheim (11-0), the top seed in Class 5A and ranked second in the state, only led 3-0 on a Niko Galva 35-yard field goal after the first quarter, shook off the rust of a bye week to exploit matchups and blow the game wide open with 20 points in the second quarter and 21 in the third, taking a commanding 44-7 lead after three quarters. “It is just to be out playing; those 14 days (off) were long,” Hahn said. “I don’t know if I liked it. Meaning the bye week. I think we handled it well, but that is a long time to have off. Our kids were antsy, we were antsy. I don’t know if we just had to kick a little of the dust off at the beginning or if we just had to figure
out what they (Mifflin) were doing. Governor Mifflin is a good team. We had a good night. “We were able find matchups and exploit weaknesses, so that’s that why we did what we did, but they are still a good team.” What Manheim did was use the legs - and later the arm - of Barons’ quarterback Evan Simon. The talented junior used great blocks from his right and left tackles, Cayden Warner and Josh Painter, respectively, to score on touchdown runs of 13 and 50 yards in the second quarter. Simon rushed for 109 yards in the first half (most coming in the second quarter) on his way to 145 yards rushing on 14 carries. He capped the second quarter scoring with a 5-yard pass to Rivers. “It is what they gave us tonight,” said Hahn, who improved his career
record to 45-6 overall. “They gave us the quarterback tonight and we were going to take it. That’s good. We don’t usually run Evan a lot, but we can when we want to; we’ve known that all along.” Just 23 seconds into the third quarter, Simon connected on a 47-yard passing TD, courtesy of Colby Wagner, who slipped out of a tackle to dash down the right sideline. Fullback Jack Harbach scored on a 1-yard plunge and running back Tyler Flick scored from seven yards out. For Flick, it was his 29th TD on the season, tying him with Baron great Dan Kreider for the most scores in a season. “I can’t say enough about him,” Hahn said about Flick. “We wanted to use him more to get things established with him, but Tyler is so unselfish. I said something to him,
“Hey, I want to get you in this, I want to run this play and he said, ‘Coach, I just want to win.’ That’s it. That’s his attitude. How do you not love a kid like that? He’s all about the team. He’s tied one and broken four career records right now; he’s all about the team. Love him.” FIELD HOCKEY Manheim Central field hockey saw its season end in the first round of the state tournament, suffering a 2-1 loss to District 11 champion Bangor on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Senior Codi Bollinger drove a pass from Lexi Hosler into the back of the cage with 1:02 remaining before halftime to tie the score at 1-1. But this was the only goal the Barons would score. Bangor scored the game-winner on a corner with about five minutes left in regulation. “The girls gave it

and district playoffs as well as earning a game in the state tournament is remarkable, she said. “I was especially impressed with our returning starters from last year because they rose to the occasion and elevated their game to a new level,” Briggs said. “Coming together as a team was a key for us and it really showed in the second half of the season.” Briggs believes the future is bright for MC hockey. “We have many key returning players coming back next year and are looking to continue building on an excellent season,” she said. SOCCER The girls’ soccer team saw its season come to an end with difficult 2-0 loss to Mars Plants, (19-1), the District 7 runners-up, Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Cedar Crest High School. Manheim had two golden opportunities to score in the first four minutes of the game, as junior Makenna Copley’s shot was saved at the right post and senior Liz Levy’s follow up was snagged at the goal line. About ten minutes later, senior Maddie Carper hit the crossbar from about 35 yards out. The game was scoreless at halftime, but the Plants were able to find the back of the net twice in the second half, ending one of the finest seasons for Manheim Central girls’ soccer. The team finished with a 20-4 record, tying the most wins in MC girls’ soccer history. Barons’ coach Andrew Stoltzfus said the team motto for this year was “All Together,” and it ended up being truer than they could have imagined. From players coming back from the Development Academy, to freshman and sophomore classes stepping up, and staying healthy, it was a well balanced group, he said. He said the Barons will certainly miss the four seniors next year. It is hard to replace that experience, production, and accomplishment, but they’ve worked hard to mentor those around them to continue the success the Barons had the last few years, he said. “Our seniors did everything we asked of them this year,” Stoltzfus said. “Kelli Kreider was solid in net, ending the season with 11 shutouts, 7 of those coming from our 10 league games. She was recognized by the other coaches by being named All-League. Brittany Benner was equally important to our backline. She is one of the hardest tackling players I’ve ever met. She is our off field organizer as well, always making sure everyone is included.” He said Carper took more of a backseat role in the offense this year, but still ended with 11 goals and 16 assists. She finishes her high school career with 92 points. “There were some games where her passion and desire is what picked up our team when we needed that extra boost,” Stoltzfus said. “Liz Levy was a nice addition to our offense, giving us a different dimension with her hold up play. She finished with 8 goals and 5 assists, but her two against Ephrata to give us the lead in the section will be remembered most fondly.” The future looks bright for the Barons. From the junior class, Makenna Copley (13 goals, 15 assists) will be a key feature in our midfield. Tori Fahnestock (5, 1) played center back for us this year and has continued to
grow into a dominant force. “Her leadership will be key in keeping our backline strong with the loss of Benner,” Stoltzfus said. “Autumn Greiner (2, 0) played mostly in the midfield this year, but is very defensive minded and could end up just about anywhere on the field next year. Kelly Abrahamson returned to the team this year and has been building her skills and we think can get solid minutes next year at the back as well.” There are a number of sophomores and freshman that Stoltzfus said he will continue to look for
quality minutes from. The obvious ones are Hannah Adair (12, 5) and Erin Greiner (12, 10) up front and Tylee Stauffer (1, 4) and Grace Cassel at the back. They all started nearly every game this year. These two classes are filled with talent that the coach is excited to see continue to develop and take on more minutes next year. Sophomores Rachel Merrill (1, 3), Audrey Miller (1, 2), Corrine King (1, 1), Grace Perron (0, 1) and Alayna Thompson as well as freshmen Summer Bates (6, 2), Rachel Nolt (2, 0), and Paige Snyder (1, 0) all got minutes this year with the

varsity team. In goal, it will be difficult to replace Kreider, who gave up only 19 goals in 24 games, but Stoltzfus said he has a number of options to replace Kreider. There are sophomores Julia Wolfe and Shauna Lukus and freshman Lillie Horst competing in net. The coach says he wants to build on this year’s success. “Next year is a year we want to prove that our tradition of excellence does not graduate,” he said. “We want to be known as a program that is constantly at the top of our game and we can’t wait for the first day of preseason for 2019.”

These girls are tough and will bounce back.” Manheim finishes the season with a 15-9 record and a great postseason run in the league, district and state playoffs. Leadership was key to the Barons’ success. “I am proud of our seniors, Maisie

Law Enforcement Wave Started Municipal law enforcement agencies throughout southcentral Pennsylvania have joined the Pennsylvania State Police and more than 200 municipal agencies to conduct the first targeted aggressive driving enforcement wave through Sunday, Nov. 25. As part of the Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project, the first wave aims to reduce the number of aggressive drivingrelated crashes, injuries and deaths on roadways throughout the state. Any aggressive driver stopped by police will receive a ticket. The enforcement wave focuses on red light running, the Steer Clear law, tailgating and speeding. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely or practicing other aggressive actions will also be cited. LOHF Approves Grant Funding Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation (LOHF) approved funding to five Lancaster County children’s behavioral health programs on Sept. 25. These five programs are reaching families and their children who have specific mental health needs and for whom access to mental health care may be particularly challenging. The grants totaled $74,375. Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County was awarded $25,000 to expand a partnership between Domestic Violence Services and COBYS that seeks to improve the mental health of children fleeing domestic violence through the use of an evidence-based model. The Seeking Safety program utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to explore issues such as trauma, addiction, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The program expansion’s aim is to increase family competency about children’s mental health by aligning the curriculum between parent and child programs and focusing on processing the trauma
of experiencing and witnessing domestic violence. Aaron’s Acres received $11,575 to support Aaron’s Acres Plus, a new program to meet the needs of young adults ages 21 to 26 who have developmental disabilities. The new therapeutic program will focus on socialization and communication for individuals once they have graduated from high school. This program will provide opportunities for individuals to interact with one another and engage in meaningful activities in a community setting. Lancaster Health Center received $15,000 for the Lancaster County Reach Out and Read initiative, which seeks to improve early literacy skills and make early literacy an integral part of pediatric checkups in early childhood. The initiative aims to promote language development in the first five years of life, as well as parent-child shared reading. Lancaster Public Library was awarded $12,800 to connect children and their families to the library and to offer valuable
information from community professionals through the Play, Learn, and Grow Series. Early literacy, nutrition, and child development are a few of the important topics covered during the two five-week sessions. With a focus on non-traditional library users, as well as new and young parents, the workshops foster relationships between community resource providers and those who need them most. Compass Mark received a grant in the amount of $10,000 to expand the Family Services Advocate program that identifies the unique needs and rights of children with incarcerated parents at Lancaster County Prison. Each child receives a needs assessment, case management, and relationship support, along with evaluations before and after receiving services. The program seeks to improve resiliency, connect children and caregivers to community resources, and help mitigate the impact of childhood trauma. LOHF’s grants aim to elevate children’s mental health by
supporting local programs that target one or more of the following: improving the delivery of children’s behavioral health care services; enhancing the capacity of parents, families, and caregivers through trainings and support; and improving the capacity of providers to support and treat children. Applicants are encouraged to replicate existing models that have been successful and to work collaboratively with others to improve mental health services for children and youths from birth to age 26. An additional $100,000 in grant funds will be available in 2019. Online applications are now available and must be submitted online by Friday, March 1, 2019. Tax-exempt community benefit organizations serving Lancaster County are eligible to apply. To learn more, readers may visit www.lohf.org/grants. Readers may also contact Anna Brendle at 717-397-8722 or akennedy@lohfoundation.org for more information.

The Fulton Theatre has announced plans for the organization’s upcoming expansion, reported on the projected economic impact of the project after completion, and has given a detailed funding report for the campaign, also known as the Fulton Theatre’s Breakout Performance. The first stage of construction, including updated stage rigging and upgrades to both stage lighting and sound, was recently completed in advance of the Fulton’s premiere of “Treasure Island.” Phase one is continuing this fall with a focus on the West King Street portion of the city block. King Street construction includes plans to rebuild the historic storefronts on the 100 block of West King Street. The top three floors will provide on-site housing for visiting artists to the Fulton stage with newly renovated apartment spaces, while the first floor will support new retail opportunities. On-site actor housing will be expanded to 26 artist apartments, which include one-bedroom apartments, spacious star apartments, and comfortable studio apartments. The Fulton’s guest artists often stay at the theater for six to 12 weeks to prepare and perform in productions. Beginning late 2019, the expansion will focus on the north side of the city block with the several construction plans. Plans include a sky-lit atrium lobby that will bridge the theater’s existing lobby and the Fulton’s education building on Grant Street. The expanded space will allow up to 1,400 patrons to gather. New restrooms planned for the atrium lobby will provide 13 additional facilities. The atrium lobby bar will be a centerpiece for gathering before, during, and after performances. An intimate, private gathering area on the second floor will feature a refreshment area, a restroom, and a coat room to host the Fulton Theatre’s Producer’s Circle members as well as private parties for the community. A performance and rehearsal studio will allow the Fulton to rehearse full productions on-site. The space will feature sprung dance floors and mirrors and will be two stories in height to accommodate all choreographic needs. The rehearsal and performance studio will be able to be transformed into an event space for both Fulton patrons and the community. The space will hold up to 200 people. The exterior of the new rehearsal space also creates an architectural element to Water Street and continues the beautification of Water Street through to the Ware Center. The Fulton Theatre will continue to operate on its normal schedule throughout construction, and productions will not be interrupted. The project in total will have a $29 million budget, which includes a $5 million endowment. As of Aug. 31, the Fulton has raised $21 million. Donations to the campaign can be made at the Fulton Theatre’s Box Office, 12 N. Prince St., Lancaster; by visiting www.fultonbreakout .org; or by contacting a member of the Breakout Performance team at 717-394-7133.
