Program to teach sewing, quilting

“It’s always fun to do outdoor venues because there is a broad section of people (and) they are there to see the entertainment,” he said, noting that audience members are welcome to get up and dance to the music. “We’re not a dance band, but we play music that people want to dance to.” to noon on Monday to Friday, July 24 to 28, at the Romano 4-H Center, 1841 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook. During the week, campers will learn to use a sewing machine and will complete several projects, ending the week with a completed piece and top-stitched quilt. The camp is intended for children age 10 and older and will be appropriate for new and intermediate sewists.

The final concert in the series will be on Sunday, Aug. 6, at 5:30 p.m., when the John Grecia Band and Drew Nielands will be featured. All concerts are free. In lieu of an admission fee, nonperishable food donations will be accepted for the Honey Brook Food Pantry. In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the show. A cancellation message will be posted at www.honeybrookborough.net.

Chester County 4-H will offer an introductory sewing and quilting program, Summer of Stitches, from 9 a.m.

There is a discount for current 4-H members. Registration will be available at https://4h.zsuite.org until Thursday, July 20, unless the program fills before that date. New families will need to sign up for 4-H before registering for the camp. Senior Connections to meet

Senior Connections, open to all seniors age 55 and over, will meet at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, on Thursday, July 13.

There will be a meal at noon followed by music by SweetLife Music, a duo consisting of husband and wife Matt and Carol Frigm. They are award-winning songwriters, performers, worship leaders and music producers from Lancaster County who specialize in harmonies, full guitar and lyrics that explore worship, nostalgia and encouragement.
