Clean up! For the Parents The theme of this unit is chores and free time activities. The song is catchy, and the lyrics provide a genuine and memorable context for a lot of very useful language such as “want”, “like”, “have to” and “don’t”. Depending on the level of the student, the teacher has the opportunity to point out and practice language the learners need to work on.

For the Parents In this unit the students will continue to hear and use language that they learned in Unit 1 but this time in the context of a story. This will help them to be able to recall and use it. Just memorizing words is not enough for students to be able to retrieve and use them for communication. According to theory, using language at increasingly spaced intervals as well as making connections between language items and different situations or topics helps the language to be retained. The story in this unit has an interactive element which helps the learners to become more interested and engaged in it.
