Teacher´s Book 1. Unit 2. “The City”. Lesson 1. (Page 9) Introduction Teacher reads the name of the unit. (“My City”). Teacher asks two students to read Martika’s and Dave’s dialogues. Teacher explains that Martika and Dave are common animals from England. Teacher reads the paragraph. Teacher asks students to name things they can find in the city. Verbs Teacher reads the verbs and he/she asks students to repeat them aloud. Example: Teacher reads: buy, buys, buying, bought (Then students repeat.) Teacher explains the meanings of the first four verbs (buy, drink, go, wait) Teacher draws the picture of each verb or uses mimicry to act them out.
