GREEN INNOVATION WITH ENJO
The ENJO festival season has started and in many countries we have already had great celebrations. Our UK ENJOpreneurs were first, meeting in Scotland in the home town of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. A weekend full of exciting workshops and talks was completed by a magnificent gala night. The Austrian ENJOpreneurs continued and spent a weekend in the beautiful Sporthotel Wagrain in Salzburg (Austria). Fascinating seminars, a knightly day at Hohenwerfen Castle and a red and white costume party were some of the highlights. In Canada, our ENJOpreneurs met for a “Freedom Conference” with a great motto: “Leave your fears behind and live the life you have always dreamed of.”
ENJO Norway established a series of 8 events called “Gröninnovasjon” (green innovation) inviting local companies and clubs to present their concept of sustainability. Amongst others, World Cleanup Day, smoothie makers and young companies with great visions for a green future were presented. The ENJO concept was also met with a lot of interest by the 450 guests. 20 participants were so inspired that they wanted to become ENJOpreneurs right away. A warm welcome to our new ENJOpreneurs in Norway!
ENJO IS TAKING OFF IN GERMANY A long-awaited dream of Johannes Engl is coming true. ENJO is finally starting off in our neighbouring country Germany. Spearheading the market entrance are two powerful women who have made it their personal goal to make their home country an ENJOpure Island step by step. SECOND HELIOS PROJEKT MATTRESSES FOR SCHOOL KIDS IN NAMIBIA
By donating mattresses for school kids in Namibia we make sure the kids sleep well and are wide awake and perfectly ready to shine in class. Because the education of children is our future. The school has about 324 pupils and offers classes in their native language, Otjiherero. Up to year 2 all classes are held in Otjiherero. After that, English is taught more and more and from year 5 all classes are held in English.

Next to Morukutu Primary School is the public boarding school which includes one boys’ and one girls’ bedroom, partly functioning toilets and an open cooking zone. About 200 kids are accommodated and cared for in the boarding school on schooldays. The kids usually come from surrounding farms and villages or are orphans. Three warm meals are provided every day, almost always pap made from maize meal. Once a week the children receive a fruit. The next project will be the roofing of the dining area.

As a mum I think you’re constantly giving and not always receiving or doing those things that you love and enjoy. I think it’s very important to start doing those things again for yourself. Happy mum, happy child! It’s self-satisfaction and getting to meet lovely amazing women and sharing the ENJO products, something I’ve been using myself for over 6 years is enjoyable to share! How has ENJO changed your life? With a toddler and a dog running around the house, I’m constantly cleaning! ENJO products have made keeping my house clean, so much easier, quicker and safer! SANDRA’S COLUMN SANDRA BUCHRAINER (34) Product Expert ENJO International When Sandra is ready to test our products, they strive to excel. Is their cleaning performance as good as promised? Which product is the ideal choice for new materials? Sandra is supported by a whole “cleaning crew” – 200 product testers use ENJO in their home to test the products.
WHAT IS FENIX? Fenix is a super nanotech material made from acrylic resin and hardened by electron beam tempering. It is not only beautiful to look at but also a material with unique characteristics. Its surface is extremely matt and has a soft touch and according to the manufacturer you can’t see fingermarks on it. The use of nano technology makes the material highly resistant against scratches, abrasion, dry heat and cleaning agents. In addition, superficial scratches can be repaired thermally. The surface is not porous and easily cleaned. Fenix is suitable for many areas of application from kitchens, worktops, washbasins etc. * Nano technology means that the dimension of the basic raw material is under 100 nanometres. One nanometre equals one billionth of a metre. This means that the original material is tiny.
In search of new trends and materials I found a very special material. It is made in Italy and has been on the market since 2013. During my research I found out that my colleague Daniel and his wife Tina had their kitchen made with the new, trendy material. As cabinet makers are recommending the product to customers, I think that this material is really going to be the next big trend! Below I am going to present Fenix to you.
CLEANING PROCEDURE ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER “Just like any other material for interior design, Fenix should be cleaned regularly. You don’t need any specific cleaners because most of the time a cloth and warm water and maybe a mild cleaning agent are all you need. Nearly all common household detergents and disinfectants can be used on the material. Everyday dirt can be removed from the surface with warm water and a cloth. More stubborn dirt can be cleaned with household detergents or solvent. If dirt is old and encrusted use a magic eraser or a soft brush. After using solvent, clean the surface with warm water and detergent. The detergent should then be removed with clean water, preferably warm.“ ENJO FIBRES & FENIX We tested for you: ENJO Classic Fibres Kitchen and Bathroom and the corresponding ENJOfils. The results were clean and streak-free!

ENJO HELPERS & FENIX We tested for you: Citrus Blossom. Calcium Dissolver, Orange Blossom. Real Soap and Marble Power. Cleaning Paste – what happens to the surface? We let the Helpers act for 5 minutes, 30 minutes and 3 hours. Then we checked if there were any changes on the surface. Citrus Blossom. Calcium Dissolver and Orange Blossom. Real Soap didn’t leave any marks on the surface. Even after 3 hours there was no change visible. After removing the Marble Power. Cleaning Paste depending on the incidence of light there seemed to be a very light mark visible. This mark did not intensify when we did the test for 3 hours. DOES FENIX LIVE UP TO ITS PROMISE? No fingerprints visible on the surface? I just had to test that! I applied some extra rich hand lotion and tried it myself. On the internet there are many statements raving about this characteristic of the material but I have to admit that some fingerprints were visible when checking closely. Again, depending on the incidence of light.

SIMPLY SPIRITING AWAY SCRATCHES WITH HEAT? I had never heard about thermal removing of scratches before and of course I had never tested it. The manufacturer promises that microscratches can easily be healed by ironing the material. Put a damp cloth on the material, iron it at moderate heat and the scratch should be gone. I treated some scratches according to the instructions. One of the more severe scratches was still visible, but all of the others were in fact gone. As the manufacturer claims that heat is what heals the scratches, I wanted to try it with a little cold water and our Kitchen Sponge, using friction to generate warmth. I made some more microscratches with my keys and tested it. The results were remarkable too: the scratches nearly disappeared and were only visible in certain lighting conditions. OUR CONCLUSION Fenix is a new, modern surface. It doesn’t live up to all of its promises but it still offers features other materials don’t have. In practice I would say it is a great option for the kitchen, if maybe not for worktops and washbasins. Scratches occur more often on worktops and the more severe scratches did not disappear with the thermal healing method in our tests. In contrast, cleaning the material is very easy.
PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF DANIEL AND TINA “We have used Fenix in our kitchen for nearly all the surfaces including the worktop. Our experience with the material has been predominantly positive. It feels very soft, almost velvety but the surface is nevertheless very hard and resistant. We haven’t had to deal with any scratches yet. Like with every other unicoloured surface, you have to clean it regularly in order to avoid streaks. For everyday dirt we use our Kitchen Allpurpose Cloth. After cooking we use the Kitchen Duoglove and the Kitchen ENJOfil. The results are very good and the fibres don’t leave any streaks. On the whole, our ENJO products are very well suited for Fenix! Matt, unicoloured surfaces need to be wiped with a damp cloth very regularly, which is done really quickly with ENJO.
ENJO recommendation Clean the surface with the suitable Classic Fibre (Kitchen, Bathroom, Living) and dry with the ENJOfil. More stubborn dirt can be removed with a few drops of Orange Blossom. Real Soap in the kitchen and living area or Citrus Blossom. Calcium Dissolver in the bathroom. As the material is very easy to clean we hardly ever need our Helpers.

She started as an ENJOpreneur in 2011 and soon emerged as one of the top recruiters of ENJO UK. WHAT DOES YOUR ENJOPURE ISLAND LOOK LIKE? My business spans over different areas. Orkney is somewhere I have put a lot of effort in to building. When I first took ENJO there 7 years ago I was met with a lot of resistance but now we have an amazing business. A team of 10 ENJOpreneurs, penetrating 39% of homes and a high ENJOpure and renewal business. The Orkney team work really well together covering our customer base. It proves that a high ENJOpreneur concentration to population works. Keeping your customer base and recruiting local creates much more familiarity and less resistance. ENJO is an amazing vehicle in which we can raise awareness in so many other things‌ the journey we take our customers on truly is amazing. DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU? I am not inspired by any one person. I take inspiration from people who strive to make a difference for people, for the planet. After years of nursing, midwifery, living and visiting different places around the world I have learned from so many different people and walks of life. Of course there are many famous motivational speakers whose wise words resonate but even an old lady in a nursing home has great knowledge and wisdom to share. Sometimes even children can blow you away with a profound statement or two.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE AND WHY? Arrrghh too many to choose from... errr. “Proposal” with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds – love the humor, ok and “Ryan”. Then “Avatar”, a film that shows man’s blindness for greed and power at the expense of nature and other species, yet can be overpowered by passion, belief, integrity... so much more to say about that film. I watched it 3 times when it was released and loads more since. OUR VALUES ARE HONESTY, BRAVENESS AND HIGH-VALUE. WHEN DO YOU NEED TO BE BRAVE AS AN ENJOPRENEUR? Being innovative, standing up as a minority for what you believe, to stay true to the cause in the face of adversity. LOOKING BACK AT YOUR FIRST DAYS WITH ENJO, WHAT PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOURSELF TODAY? Never falter. Believe harder and not waver from your intuition. There is a quote from the film “Field of Dreams” (another great film): “If you build it, they will come.” Sometimes it is hard for people to visualize, to see the bigger picture. It often takes someone else to show us.

HOW DO YOU OFFER THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY? With belief. It’s a great business that can make a difference, be a part of something exciting, a movement for positive change. To love what you do and feel good about the impact ENJO makes. Ask what the perfect business would look like for them. HOW DO YOU REACT ON A NO WHEN OFFERING THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY? It’s a “no for now” maybe not a “no forever”. Even if it is, it can only be perceived as a compliment to the person you are asking. It’s not an insult. WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR IN YOUR BUSINESS? For the difference we make, for what it has taught me, for what it has brought in to my life, for the people I have met and now call friends, for the change we are making for my children, my grand children.

Listen to what a person is looking for in their life. Find out what they ideally are looking for... maybe it’s not money, maybe it’s friendships, socialising. Maybe they want to help make a difference. Never make assumptions. Read your audience when doing Demos, listen to questions you are being asked... that could be someone thinking about the business. Hardly anyone will ask you to join... many are waiting for you to ask as they may not fully believe they can do it or they need someone else to think they could. Elke started as a Team Leader in 2015 and her team has since grown to 15 strong ENJOpreneurs. With her affectionate character Elke helps her team bring out the best in them.
WHAT DOES YOUR ENJOPURE ISLAND LOOK LIKE? In my town there are 4 ENJOpreneurs for a population of only 2,800 habitants. Therefore, we have a very high ratio of ENJOpreneur per resident which is a great thing. We are very proud of that because the people see that ENJO is a thriving, serious business. Of course we want our island to grow and will do our best for that to happen. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK AND WHY? When ebooks became popular, I became a bookworm. I love historic novels based on true stories like “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” and “The Diary of a Young Girl”. These are books that move me. All books by Sabine Weigand are also great.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO BE ACTIVE REGULARLY? 1. As a role model for my team members. They can see that it is possible to be active permanently and constantly earn money. 2. I like my work and when I do something for ENJO regularly I’m active automati cally. 3. I will only stay up-to-date and be experi enced when I do my work regularly. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN TWO YEARS? I want to be a Team Leader like I am now and would like to have many new team members who can split from me. I would also like to be even more consolidated and experienced in my work.
WHICH QUALITIES DOES A GOOD TEAM LEADER NEED? They need to rejoice in their team members and the work with them; the ability to adapt to different characters, broad shoulders, large ears, a big heart but also the ability to set clear boundaries and – if necessary – not to mince matters. YOU ALREADY HAVE A SPLIT TEAM. HOW HAS THIS ADDED TO YOUR WORK? In secret, I cried from pride. Of all team members it was my initial biggest worry Claudia who was able to split her own team. I am so happy for her and the feeling motivates me to support other team members with building their own teams. It is amazing to see how she has grown! We support each other when we have questions or when we need someone to grouch with.

WHAT DOES YOUR ENJOPURE ISLAND LOOK LIKE? When I started with ENJO I wanted to make it as well-known as e.g. Tupperware. As many people as possible should know that they can clean their house chemical free and that the right product for that is ENJO. I am convinced that I have achieved this on my ENJOpure Island! YOU HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR ENJO FOR NEARLY 24 YEARS. HOW HAS YOUR WORK EVOLVED OVER THE YEARS? At the beginning, ENJO and cleaning with water and fibres was completely unknown. I sold the products because they made cleaning quick and easy. The people came as they were curious and bought

the products because I inspired them. But some products didn’t go so well. Only when I managed to motivate customers to book second Demos and more, it became easier to make homes ENJOpure. Today, ENJO is well established in my region. My customer’s kids now buy ENJO because they have never learned to clean using chemicals. Every household that switches to ENJO is now one that sets value on health, simplicity, quality and sustainability! WHAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE YOU EVER VISITED WITH ENJO? I was at every Synergy and every single one was unique. I have beautiful memories of Vienna because I was number 1 in the world for the first time. In Rome I was awarded gold in every category and in Reykjavik I became a member of the Hall of Fame. So there is no special place! I watched many movies about Africa when I was a child and also about the land of the kangaroos and the Maori. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would one day set my foot on these countries. Cape Town, Australia, Asia and New Zealand were breathtaking and a great motivation for me.
HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE YOURSELF ANEW CONSTANTLY? I think that the constant change in my business helps me with that! At the beginning it was my personal success as an ENJOpreneur that motivated me, later it was recruiting and being a Leader. It is the perfect job for me and ENJO is the best thing that could have happened to me and my family! I can live out my free spirit with ENJO.
CAN YOU SHARE A SPECIAL ENJO EXPERIENCE WITH US? In a few words: Synergy Iceland – gala night – stage – award – completely unexpected – my family suddenly there (see pictures above). I was so surprised and overwhelmed. I will never forget this moment! Thank you again, Johannes.
WHICH PIECE OF ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ENJOPRENEURS WHO WANT TO BUILD THEIR OWN TEAM? When you recount with joy and experience your job as fun, you will spark a fire within your potential customers and they will join you. Of course you also have to work diligently and constantly and visualise the goal you are working towards, like the team you want to have. HOW IMPORTANT IS CONTINUING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR YOU AND WHY? In our business it is very important to establish a relationship with the customer because they need to feel that we care about them. ENJOpreneurs are not only salespersons, we are also consultants and help to make homes chemical free. We can only achieve this when we actually conduct the constant customer service we promised our customers.

Place one coin in front of the package and one behind making sure they overlap slightly. Now pull the coin in the back to the front and tilt the other one to the back. This trick will help you open almost every plastic packaging.
7 ROUTINES TO HELP YOU WASTE LESS FOOD Food waste is a worldwide epidemic. According to estimates, one third of all food produced globally is spoiled or wasted. With a few easy routines you can start fighting food waste at least in your home. 1. M ost importantly: Keep a menu plan and shopping list posted in plain sight. Keep your pantry organized and check it before you shop. Buy only what you really need. 2. Pull older ingredients in your fridge or pantry to the front. Pay attention to upcoming expiration dates on foods you have at home, and plan meals around the products that are closest to their expiration. 3. Schedule a weekly “use it up” dinner. Use helpful apps and gadgets like websites that let you pick ingredients you want to use up and suggest suitable dishes (e.g. www.supercook.com). 4. Make it a general rule to store fruit where you can see it. 5. Label your leftovers so you can keep track of how long they’ve been in your fridge or freezer, and incorporate them into your daily or weekly routine. 6. Use food even if it’s reaching the end of its peak. Use soft fruits for smoothies, wilting vegetables for soups. Both can be used for nutritional juices. 7. Don’t get mislead by expiration dates. Trust your senses instead of the date on the package. If stored properly, most foods stay fresh several days or even weeks past the “use-by” date. If a food looks, smells, and tastes okay, it should be fine.

1. Start in the elbow plank position with your weight on your tiptoes and forearms.
COCKTAIL PARTY MEETS TEA TIME 2. Push forward with your toes and try to get as close to your forearms with your upper arms as possible.
LEG RAISES – 2X10 REPETITIONS
1. Lie on your back with your legs straight and your hands under your lower back for support. Raise your legs slightly.
2. Keep your legs straight and lift them all the way up to the ceiling, ideally stopping at a 90° angle.
