Walter is not only one of the longest companions of the ENJO company, but also a never-ending source of inspiration for me, and above all a true friend. Together with his wife Renate, his children Angela and Markus, and a strong team of employees and ENJOpreneurs, they make the west of Austria cleaner, greener and more pleasant to live in every day. DEAR ENJO FAMILY, It was a few weeks ago (mid-July), 30 years ago that I first encountered our “miracle cloths” made by ENJO! I am still very grateful today for the fact that we (my wife Renate and I) have chosen ENJO and Johannes Engl. Since that time, ENJO Austria West and its team have been among the world’s best ENJO countries, and that has been quite some time. Therefore, one of my guiding principles is: “Quality over quantity”. With that kind of attitude, you can still be very successful after 30 years.
If I have the opportunity to write a few personal words for Clean Magazine, I am very happy to do so. My subject: Appreciation However, for once not relating to people: Is it possible to also appreciate the ENJO idea? Or in other words, do we take the ENJO idea “for granted”? One of the great challenges in all these years has been to be mindful not to take it “for granted”! But this is easier said than done in practice. Let me give you some examples from Austria West to make all this even more comprehensible:
• 20 years ago, our ENJO Demos reached an average turnover of 300 Euro and we had to hold more than 4 Demos to reach the first commission level. Today, you reach the first commission level already with 2 to 3 Demos! • We have improved everything step by step, and today our average turnover per Demo is well over 600 Euro. • There is a large number of ENJO Demos that exceed 1,000 Euro, in fact many achieve over 1,500 Euro and more. • In all these years we have improved our sales strategy, trainings and our ENJO system tremendously.
MY BIG REQUEST TO ALL ENJO PARTNERS IN THE WORLD IS TO SHOW ENOUGH APPRECIATION FOR THIS GREAT “ENJO” IDEA.

We are creating an environmental storm. Air, water and massive waste. All because people were told to use products that have not been effective. Because if we have not been brave, honest and had high value then we are not successful. Success is of course ENJOpure Homes and great sales numbers but without using these guiding words the victory is empty!

First and foremost I have to point out that values are totally subjective, and I like to share my values first and how they fit in with ENJO. Values are there to set boundaries for how far you would go to achieve a vision as well as the way you choose to live and treat people around you and who you are at the core. My values I have been living by too many years to remember well ever since I have put them into words and put them down on paper: Courageous BRAVE. Making a difference, which could come under living a HIGH-VALUE and HONEST life. I personally do not distinguish between personal or business values, you can’t act one way personally than in business. So what does HONEST mean to me, it means that you are transparent in all you do, that you are authentic in your communications, that you take accountability for your action. BRAVE to face your challenges, that you dare to own your mistakes, make difficult choices even if they are not popular, be kind even when people have done the wrong thing by you. This goes for me with making a difference. HIGH-VALUE for me the highest value you can add to your life as well as to others is to make a difference to others while you walk this earth e.g. family, friends, business partners, empowering women, the way you leave this planet behind once you have gone. You will learn to actively listen to the signals your counterpart sends and become better and better at knowing how to respond to them. 9 GEMS FOR RELAXED RECRUITING 1. Talk about the ENJOlife wherever you are and at any time. Tell people about your work and the great experiences you have with your customers (wow moments, compliments etc.). 2. Talk honestly about your ENJOlife. Tell people what you like about your profession and always stay authentic. 3. Ask your customers about their fears and anxieties and take them seriously. Think about your own fears at the beginning: What helped you to get over them? This might also help others. 4. Do not be selective about who is interested in becoming an ENJOpreneur and who is not. Have the courage to ask. You will be surprised who is interested in this business! Everyone has their own reasons why the ENJOlife is interesting for them. 5. Establish a personal relationship: “I’m like you” – this creates trust! 6. Pay attention to how you talk about your business. Does it sound like a great job that you enjoy and that allows you to perfectly enjoy your life? A job where you always meet exciting people and work with a great team? Or does it sound like a job that involves a lot of stress and challenges? The more positive you talk about your work, the more attractive it will be perceived by others. 7. Listen carefully and find out why the person you’re talking to might be interested in the ENJOlife. Specifically respond to it. 8. Hand them the ENJOlife Flyer. Always have a few ENJOlife Flyers in your handbag ready to hand out when talking about your profession and display them at your Demos. 9. Make new contacts through your customers. For example, if your customer says: “That would be the perfect job for my sister!” or: “My colleague at work would be a fantastic ENJOpreneur, she loves the products.” Use this information as an opportunity to offer your customer to forward an ENJOlife Flyer to your customer’s sister, colleague, etc. and / or invite them to an Info Event or meeting. Have fun recruiting, you can do it!

MY ENJOLIFE VALENTINA KOSTOVA FROM ENJO BULGARIA Strong, self-determined and incredibly courageous. These three words probably fit Valentina best. The mother of two has already experienced a few misfortunes and turnarounds in her life. Valentina has been living an ENJOlife for 2 years and is now one of the most successful ENJOpreneurs in Bulgaria. In the following story, Valentina speaks openly and quite privately about her eventful life.

“FOR ME ENJO IS A I CAN CALL HOME.”
Today I am a mother and despite all the social roles I had to have in my life, it turned out that this is the first and most important for me. After my maternity leave I had to come back to my brilliant job as an interior designer. I was surprised how intolerant the employers are to new mom’s work. Leaving this job was one of the hardest and most reasonable decisions in my life. Even if that meant that my new family had to go back to this small city, which I ran away from years ago.
“I WAS IMMEDIATELY CONVINCED THAT ENJO IS WHAT I WANT IN MY HOUSE AND ALSO IN MY LIFE.” My name is Valentina Kostova and I come from a small boring and conservative town in a small, but very beautiful country. I was 13 when my parents split up, so I had to start working during the summer vacation in order to provide myself with clothes and books for school. My mother managed to find me a job at a local jeans manufacturer and everything seemed normal for our small city. Until one day I decided to move to a bigger city with more opportunities. This was the first time I felt free and despite the high price I had to pay, I never doubted that it was worth it.
At that moment I realized that my role as a mother had become the most significant in my life. I became interested in healthy food and sustainable living. One day, my daughter had an allergic reaction with unknown background. That made me think that probably using chemicals in our house could contribute to her situation. And that is how I found out about ENJO. I did not believe at first that “some cloths” can clean only with water. But I had to try, because my job as a mother is to find ways for my family to be healthy. I booked a Personal Appointment and right after that I was convinced that this is what I want in my house and also in my life. I saw ENJO as the place where I could be both, responsible mother and also a business woman. The beginning was very stressful. I remember sitting in front of a customer’s house and wondering should I just leave, not wanting to face the scepticism with which many customers looked at me. Now I am glad I didn’t leave to go back for the “normal job”. Because

these cloths turned out to be a whole new ideology, with which we can change people’s minds, their homes and even the world. Some friends accepted me as their friend, who sells something, others only saw me as the next sales person, and there was the third group that I found is one of the best ENJO advantages – customers, who become our friends. These are people, who I had never met before, but who accepted me into their homes with a smile. For me they are the biggest evaluation of my work with ENJO. Because their trust and love give me strength and inspiration each day. I gave a lot of time and emotion, and I am still learning. It is not just another job, where you have to deal with exhaustion, fixated hours, boredom, fear and no understanding. For me ENJO is a place I can call HOME. In ENJO I don’t have bosses and colleges, I have friends. I believe that we have to continue breaking the stereotypes and going outside the box, that the society is trying to fit us in. This picture represents that each person has to be flexible. We do not always have to move ahead, sometimes we have to take a left turn, and sometimes a right one. And on some occasions, we must slow down or even stop, in order for us not to crash in our own ambitions. There will always be ups and downs in order for us to feel alive. But most important is whatever we do, to do it with our hearts.

CYNDY KING, CANADA I can’t say I really made any big changes during the pandemic. The same consistent business but being more present through social platforms and email due to the fact that we cannot see our customers personally. More consistent customer care maybe? Being authentic and continuing to educate as I learn more. Making sure people are still confident with their fibres. Making people feel comfortable by always giving them a choice and letting them know that I am an ENJO educator and that it is always their choice. Just planting seeds and letting them take what they will from the information I give them. That’s all I’ve got.

7 VALUABLE TIPS AROUND ENJO’S SKIN CARE FIBRES 1. To cleanse the skin with the fibre is the ideal preparation before applying masks, creams and massage oils. Cleanses and opens the pores. This allows the skin to absorb active substances faster and more effectively. 2. Fold the Face Pad to gently remove mascara and co. from the eye area or use our Face Miniglove Deluxe. 3. Squeeze the wet fibre in a towel after rinsing or for exfoliating (damp application), if needed. 4. The glove is designed so that it can be easily placed upright to dry or put over a shower gel bottle. 5. To remove waterproof mascara and kiss-proof lipstick, a make-up removal product (or coconut oil, for example) may need to be applied to the fibre. If necessary, allow to take effect briefly. 6. Massage your body with the damp Body Duoglove in circular movements, starting from the feet upwards and from the hands towards the heart. This technique supports and stimulates the circulation. 7. Rough skin on elbows, knees and soles is softened and becomes supple again. Grass stains or plaster residue? No problem for this fibre. A quick and gentle way to clean children’s dirty feet.

ENJO’S SHORT WASHING 101 Our ENJOtex fibres love to be washed in the washing machine at 40 – 60°C in a laundry bag. The following illustrations show how incorrect use / care affects the ENJOtex fibres. In the top row you can see how the product was washed correctly, as recommended at 60°C in a laundry bag. The bottom row shows various problems caused by incorrect use/care.
Classic fibre Kitchen, bottom row: washed without a laundry bag; lint builds on the fibre.
Dust fibre: washed too hot at 90°C; the fibre ends stick together and become hard and bristly; in addition, the fibre loses the colour intensity.
Our tip: If you forgot to wash the fibres in the laundry bag, the lint can be quickly removed with our Lint Glove.
40 – 60°C HERE’S HOW YOU DO IT PROPERLY: • Machine wash the ENJO fibres at 40 – 60°C in a laundry bag (all ENJOfils as well as the Kitchen Tea Towel in one laundry bag and all other ENJO fibres in a second laundry bag). For light soiling, the fibre can also be rinsed with warm water only and a drop of Real Soap if necessary. • Wash the ENJO fibres with textiles of similar colour. • Never wash ENJO fibres with fabric softener or bleach! • We recommend air drying the ENJO fibres. • Do not dry ENJO fibres on a radiator or in a tumble dryer, as the resulting heat could cause the fibre ends to stick together, making them ineffective. • Always store ENJO fibres in a clean and dry condition.

HOW TO AVOID GREEN SINS IN THE KITCHEN Cooking, chatting, tasting, enjoying. The kitchen is one of the most beautiful places in any home. And also one where you can make a valuable contribution to the environment. We’ll show you what you can look out for and save money at the same time. USE UP FOOD Every year on May 2nd is Food Waste Day, because statistically all food produced worldwide from January 1st to May 2nd is dumped. To avoid throwing food away, plan your shopping well and only buy as much as you can use. Trust your senses when it comes to food that is past its best-before date – much of it has a much longer shelf life. It is also important to store your food properly to keep it fresh for as long as possible. Be creative and turn food scraps into delicious stews, baked dishes and much more. USING ENERGY MORE ECONOMICALLY Saving energy not only protects our environment, but also saves money. For example, only let your dishwasher (and of course the washing machine) run when full. You can also save energy by making sure that the pot is covered with a lid and that the pot is the same size as the hotplate. If the plate is much larger, a lot of energy is simply lost. You don’t need to preheat the oven (except for soufflés, for example). With ENJO, you only clean with cold water, which also saves energy for heating water.
ENJOlife HACK DIY insect protection for kids To keep insects such as bees or wasps away from sweet drinks, especially during warm summer and autumn days, you can easily use a paper muffin mould. Place the mould upside down on the lemonade glass and poke a metal, glass or bamboo straw through the middle of the mould. The muffin mould is turned into a protective cover in one step.
BUYING CHEAP UTENSILS As with all purchases, the same applies to kitchen utensils: Quality over quantity. Cheap pans, ladles etc. rarely last long and thus contribute to the waste of resources. Poor-quality pots can also waste energy because they do not sit properly on the hotplate; cheap kettles or toasters consume more electricity than quality products. REDUCE HEAPS OF WASTE Many people prefer to pack sandwiches, leftovers and cut fruit or vegetables in cling wrap or aluminium foil. This creates heaps of waste over the years. Moreover, aluminium is extremely energyintensive to produce. That’s why it’s better to put half tomatoes and apples flat on a plate in the fridge, and pack snacks and leftovers in lunch boxes or empty jam jars. Reusable beeswax cloths are also great for covering food. SAVING WATER Also make sure to use water sparingly. Don’t leave the water running all the time while doing the dishes and use our Fruit & Veggie Cloth to clean food faster while saving water.
