This is your chance to get on track with a certified personal trainer in a fun, energetic, semi-private setting. Gina Baumgartner is a certified nASM Certified Personal Trainer, SFS, and always takes into consideration your current medical conditions. Gina carefully evaluates your fitness level and helps you set achievable goals. Training sessions are carefully designed for each group based on the current level of fitness of each participant. enjoy a different functional training workout during each session as you incorporate flexibility, core, balance, stabilization, fall prevention, strength, and power. You will increase good health, longevity, and harbor more energy to better enjoy daily activities, travel, and your family. Date: Monthly, Tuesdays, and Thursdays Time(s): 8:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m.; 10:30 a.m. Location: Recreation Center Ages: 18 years of age and up Cost: $100 for a four-week month, $125 for a five-week month

GeNTLe JOINTS

Gentle Joints is a low impact aerobics and strength training class designed specifically for mature adults and individuals with joint challenges. Class format will vary among instructors. The class may include the use of hand weights, stability balls, and various resistance equipment such as bands, Pilate’s circles, and mini balls. The class is geared toward balance, flexibility, strength, posture, cardio-pulmonary fitness, and exercises to target bone density, mobility, and joint issues. Gentle Joints classes are led by Jocelyn Simpson. Date: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Time(s): 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Location: Recreation Center Ages: 45 years of age and up Cost: $30 per month

TAI ChI FOR heALTh

Our Tai Chi for health programs are a good introduction to Tai Chi. Jocelyn Simpson is a Board-Certified Instructor and Master Trainer through Dr. Paul Lam and the Tai Chi for health Institute. Tai Chi for health is designed to improve the quality of life for people with arthritis and other chronic conditions. The goal is to improve balance and mobility while preventing falls. Our unique teaching method makes it easy and fun to learn. Tai Chi for health is an enjoyable exercise that improves nearly all aspects of health including muscle strength and flexibility, fitness, relaxation, balance, posture, immunity, and stress relief. Participants are welcome to engage while standing or sitting. Advanced classes also available with instructor approval. Dates: March 1 – April 19 May 3 – June 21 July 5 – August 23 Mondays: 9:45 a.m.; Beginner (open to all) Wednesdays: 9:45 a.m., Tai Chi – Sun 73 (instructor approval required) Fridays: 9:45 a.m., Tai Chi – Chen 36 (instructor approval required) Location: Recreation Center Ages: 18 years of age and up Cost: $40 for an eight-week session
