Our goals : The cooperative society Space and Living Labs aims at developing services to promote the use of space technologies. In this respect it designs and develops services based on the tools of geospatial information. The main sectors of activities: • public management of regions in sustainable ways • follow-up and evolution of agricultural practices
Our aim: organize relationships between enterprises using space technologies and public research E2L is in line with the European GMES program and the opportunities it offers to develop new uses of space technologies. As its fundamental activity E2L structures and accompanies co-operations aiming at economic innovation while keeping and respecting the interests of laboratories and researchers. Its missions target at inventing, testing and creating opportunities to exploit new offers of services using the benefits of space technologies. In this context E2L promotes a particular way of intervention: the living lab that structures the relationships between research labs and enterprises by organizing working groups of end-users that are mobilized in specific regional contexts (agricultural exploitations, regional communities, etc.). Thus E2L ensures the animation of innovative clusters of enterprises aiming at structuring outcomes of new service offers.

Our activities and areas of intervention
E2L induces and animates research works, carries out studies and conducts experimentations. It participates in specific contexts, namely the “living labs” to accomplish services in test phases. In this context it analyzes and evaluates the quality of the proposed services. Our activities lead to investments of partner companies to deploy new offers for a functioning market. E2L participates in elaborating programs and training modules on the use of space technologies. It develops ‘train the trainer’ programs and coordinates training actions for different publics adapted to the specific working context of the trainees.
• On a European level: E2L watches out for project calls and ensures their response (build up consortia, develop and manage projects). It structures and animates networks (laboratories / enterprises…) et and accompanies the implementation of the strategy while taking into consideration a cross-cutting vision of European devices. This results in a coordinated approach unfolding in various steps.
• On an international level: E2L conceives service offers in close co-operation with local structures.
E2L’s shared values 1/ The process of inventing new services is based on the contribution of the end-users (bottom-up approach) following the logics of mutual partnerships (define, implement and accomplish). 2/ To reveal the demand and identify the need of new services the awareness of end-users is raised by training modules that communicate the benefits of space technology for citizens. 3/ E2L contributes to public policy and respects the prerequisites of sustainable development. Unfolding new tools for managing regional development or focus on evolving sustainable agricultural practices are at stake to maintain a viable society for future generations.
