KANSAS Overland Park
Kansas-based Waters Hardware grows to 20 stores with purchase of the seven-store Nuts and Bolts hardware chain. Each store will be rebranded with the Waters Hardware name and will undergo a complete store reset. OHIO Fairborn
Handyman Ace Hardware, founded in 1939, has a new owner: Rocky’s Ace Hardware, based in Springfield, Mass. Rocky’s holdings now extend to 47 locations throughout nine states. MARYLAND Baltimore
Belle Hardware of Bolton Hill will close in June after nearly 45 years. A Facebook message explained: “Due to many personal and professional changes over the last few years, we have decided to close.”
IDAHO Boise
Builders FirstSource’s growth streak continued with an acquisition in Boise, Idaho, where Valley Truss will complement the Dallas based LBM giant’s existing operations there. BFS operates 12 locations in Idaho, and more than 560 locations in the U.S. MISSOURI Mt. Vernon
R.P. Lumber, the family-owned hardware and building materials retailer, opened its 83rd location overall and its 17th branch in Missouri. The Edwardsville, Ill.based company is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. FLORIDA Orlando
Nation’s Best, the Dallas, Texasbased hardware and building supplies dealer, has acquired Sparr Building and Farm Supply. With four locations northwest of Orlando, Sparr is the largest farm and horse fencing supplier in the state.
