PURPOSE The filters of Geyser-Bio series are the only filtering systems in Russia that received the certificate of conformity as per GOST Russia: GOST Russia 51232-98 (drinking water) GOST Russia 51871 (water purification equipment) Construction norms and rules 2.1.4.1074 (drinking water) Geyser-Bio filters remove all bacteria and viruses, foreign substances, chlorine, heavy metals, nitrates, pesticides, suspended particles, excess hardness salts from water and improve mineral structure of water. Water passes three-stage purification system complemented by replacement filter elements of Slim Line 10″ standard. FILTERING MATERIALS AND CARTRIDGES USED Polypropylene sediment filter purifies water from mud, suspended particles and insolubles. The removal of bacteria and viruses is a result of electrokinetic interaction with the surface of Aragon-Bio material. Aragon-Bio material doesn’t imply any antibacterial agents. It hinders the smallest mechanical parts and removes the dissolved chemical impurities due to its complex inner structure, sorption mechanisms and ion-exchange. Aragon-Bio removes all bacteria and viruses from the water, including Hepatitis-A, rotaviruses and noroviruses according to the test protocols 10/12, 11/12 dd. 10.12.2012 FRL PTcS FRS No. 164. Silver, used in the structure of the material in its metal indelible form completely suppresses the reproduction of bacteria and viruses. The structure of hardness salts dissolved in water is changed inside the cartridge, the argonite form of calcium carbonate that is useful for people is created. As a result the amount of deposition is reduced and the calcium digestibility increases. Aragon-Bio cartridges modified for soft water are complemented by the cartridge Aragon-M Bio. It is rich in calcium slats, on that reason all hardness salts are remained in the purified water. Such filters are also complemented with mineral salts measuring tools “B” that enrich the filtered water with calcium and magnesium slats that are needed for us. Any filter model may be complemented with measuring tool “B” that shows the insufficient elements for particular region (Са/Mg, I, F). Mineralizing agent replacement frequency is once in 3-6 months. The signal that the cartridge Aragon-Bio should be replaced is sharp decrease of pure water pressure (self indication mechanism). Filtering material completely excludes filtered impurities returning into the purified water (antidischarge). 2
ММВ — cartridge made of premium quality carbon fiber that has large sorption surface and extended resource as compared to other sorbents. It effectively removes organic and chlororganic compounds, available chlorine, bad smell and alien taste. The adjustment of silver into the filtering material of the cartridge provides bacteriostatic effect during the whole period of operation. BS cartridge removes excess hardness salts from water. Ion-exchange resin of drinking class serves as filtering environment. It is used in Geyser-Bio 331 and 332 filters for very hard water. BA cartridge purifies water from dissolved iron and other metals compounds by the method of catalytic oxidation. Natural material calcite is used as the filtering media. CONNECTION AND SAFETY MEASURES
The connection should be fulfilled by a qualified specialist or manufacturer’s representative!* It’s not recommended to disassemble factory connections if not urgent. Warning! All filter housing underwent tightness and hydro shock tests. To prevent Aragon-Bio cartridge from cracking it should be always kept wet. If the filter’s operation is to be suspended for more than a month, make sure that the filter housing has water inside. Before the works start shut off the water feed near the place of connection and depressurize, having opened any tap above the place with water being shut off. (!) Before the installation make sure that housings are safely tighten up** (in case needed tight them up) and connect according to the instruction. Warning! The position of the vertical label in the center of the face surface of the filter doesn’t guarantee the leak-tightness of the connection. The position of the label may change when the threaded connection of the housing is tightened. * Warning! The covers of the housings (where BS or BA cartridges are placed) are turned by 180° ** Periodically check reliability of housings tightness. In case needed they should be tighten.

Before the operation starts flush the water through the filter for 2-5 minutes. The filter should be washed as well after the cartridges are replaced and after long (more than 5 days) break in operation. CONNECTION

The connection to the cold water main line is completed with the help of the set shipped according to the diagram (page 7). Cut the pipe into two parts convenient for the connection and connect one free end to the inlet and the other end to outlet. Warning! Inlet – housing No. 1, outlet – housing No. 3 It is recommended that the system is installed by the specialist or is executed strictly according to the instruction. The system is connected to cold water main line Extract the filter from the packing case.1 Remove shipping plugs. Press with the end of the screw-driver the plastic ring at the connector and easily extract the plug (Fig. 1). Fix the filter to the wall or place it in any location convenient for operation. It is recommended to fix the filter at a height of 15 cm from the floor to the bottom of the housing to perform the replacement of the cartridges easily. (Fig. 2).
CONNECTION TO THE PIPELINE
Shut off the water feed near the place of connection. Fix T-piece adapter (A) to the cold water main line, making the connections tight (Fig. 1) Screw water feed ball tap unto the adapter (B) making the connections tight (Fig. 2) 2

CONNECTION OF PURE WATER TAP
Drill the hole of 12 mm in the wash-bowl. Assemble the tap as follows: • tap • decorative washer kit • rubber gasket • plastic washer kit • metal washer kit • nut
Secure the tap on the kitchen sink. Screw plastic pipe (D) into the nut (Fig. 1). Put the grommet (E) inside the pipe until stop (Fig. 2). Spin the nut over the threaded rod of the tap (Fig. 3). 2

FILTER MAINTENANCE
When the resource is worked out or its lifetime came to an end (table 3) they should be replaced. REPLACEMENT OF I, II, III STAGE CARTRIDGES
Turn water off near the inlet (Fig. 1). Open pure water tap to release the pressure inside the system (Fig. 2). Remove the housing with the help of the wrench (Fig. 3), check and replace (if necessary) the sealing ring; then replace the corresponding cartridge (Fig. 4, 5). 1

Sealing ring is recommended to be greased with food silicon or Vaseline (do not use sealant!) prior to reassembly. Return the housing to its position and tight with the wrench. Open water near the inlet and check the leak-tightness of the system (Fig. 6). 4

After the new filter is installed or the cartridges replaced there is still some air in the system. It my lead to excess aeration (visually water has milky-white color). As the filter operates the air leaves the system and the purified water becomes clear.
REPLACEMENT OF MINERALIZING INSERT
Unscrew the housing with the wrench from the set and extract Aragon S-BIO cartridge. Pour water out. Unscrew the bottom plug of the cartridge with the help of the wrench (Fig. 1), extract the measuring tool. When Aragon S-BIO cartridge is replaced the insert “B” should be extracted from the used cartridge (Fig. 2) it should be inserted into the new cartridge. Remove the cover of a new measuring tool, insert it with its open side on the top (Fig. 3). Screw the bottom plug until stop. Assemble the filter in the reverse order and wash it for 1-2 minutes. 1

If you notice any signs of deposit during operation of 331 and 332 models the cartridge BS should be replaced. REGENERATION OF BS CATRIDGE FROM HARDNESS SALTS AND IRON
BS cartridge regeneration is fulfilled with the help of 10% sodium non iodated chloride solution (100 g of salt for 1 l of water). Unscrew the second housing with the wrench from the set and extract the softening cartridge (BS). Place it vertically in the kitchen sink or use the support and place it into any container and wait for all water from the cartridge to pour out. Remove the upper cover of softening cartridge by hand. Pour 2 liters of salt solution through the cartridge, preventing the resin from falling down together with the solution (it is normal for the liquid to have bubbles when the salt solution is poured through; air is coming from the layer of resin)
Install the cartridge with the cover removed into the housing and fill in the housing with the salt solution till the top (ca. 0.5 l). Cautiously pour it through the cartridge preventing the resin from pouring out with the solution. Let it stay for 8-10 hours.
Extract the cartridge from the housing cautiously and let the salt solution pour out, place in into the wash-bowl or any appropriate container and pour through it 2-2.5 l of 10% salt solution one more time. Screw the upper cover of the cartridge and place it inside the housing. Assemble the filter in the reverse order. Wash it with water not exceeding 1-1,5 l/ min to make salt after-taste disappear (ca. 2-3 min). The filter is ready to operate. During the regeneration fulfillment avoid the eye contact with the solution because it may cause painful sensations. In case of eye contact, wash them carefully with water!

WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS Guaranteed use period of filter operation is 3 years from the sale date. In case the date and the seal of trading organization are missing the warranty dates from the filter release day. The warranty does not apply to the cartridge, its capacity is indicated on page 4. Cartridge replacement in case they have manufacturing defects is fulfilled only after service representatives execute its examination. The producer disclaims responsibility for the operation of the filter and possible implications in case if: The filter and its components have mechanical damages. The requirements of the given instruction were not followed during the connection and operation Cartridges worked out their resource. The filter was not used to design purpose (for filtering aggressive liquids). Average use period of the filter is 10 years. Technical maintenance and post warranty repairs are done by the manufacturer or its local representative. Service department guarantees within 6 months time to eliminate all faults free of charge in filter connections and fastenings, caused by representativemanufacturer when the works on filter installation were fulfilled.
SAFETY MEASURES, STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION The system should be cushioned against shocks, falls and freezing water inside the housing. The transportation of the filter is allowed in any covered means of transport (except unheated sections of the plane) according to the rules and norms of transportation for this means of transport. The filter is stored inside the package at the distance at least 1 meter from the heating devices under the temperature 5 °С. Direct sunshine, aerosols, aggressive and smelly materials impact is prohibited.
