A candidate aspiring for BE/B.Tech in mining engineering should have completed +2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission to any of the colleges is made on the basis of engineering entrance examination like IITJEE in case of IITs and several other entrance examinations at state level. Mining engineers require a strong background in Mathematics, computer application, Economics, Physics as well as Chemistry
