Chapters may offer additional activities and field trips that will take more time. Remember, in EnvironMentors you’ll get help with college prep, go on field trips, and spend time with your mentor and friends!
What EnvironMentors means to: Susana Ruvalcaba
“EnvironMentors is great because it allowed me to interact with college students, and to have an undergraduate college student serve as my mentor. In the fall I will be a student at Colorado State University (CSU). My experiences with the CSU EnvironMentors Chapter, and the skills I
learned by being committed to a research project for an entire year, has better
prepared me for college. Susana Ruvalcaba Colorado State University Chapter
What EnvironMentors means to: David Tallmadge
“EnvironMentors has helped me better myself and provided a pathway to college. Through the program and project development I learned task management skills that are important to college success. I also was introduced to professors and scientists at Arkansas State University who were helpful to me as I researched my energy project. Overall, my experience in EnvironMentors has helped me gain skills that will be useful as I begin
college at Arkansas State University.

What EnvironMentors means to: Martin Martinez
“While I initially joined the program because it was a class requirement, I returned because of my mentor bond and the program’s benefits. My first year project was designed to determine how fast an oil spill can spread if not immediately corrected. Because of that project I was much more knowledgeable about the issue when the 2010 oil spill occurred.” Martin Martinez Washington, DC Chapter
