This Vertical Re-Composition attributes 85% of the Building to A Place to Dance, the engagement of this function clearly explores the intricate Space on a deeper level. The Dancers only understand the Space through their experimentation of it, the Forest of Timber components only contributes to the exclusively personal comprehension of the Building. This approach applies the concepts of the DĂŠrive from Guy Debord: As one drifts naively through the City, one can only be influenced or even controlled by the multitude of mechanisms operating in the Metropolis. Furthermore, this project raises an ambiguity concerning the Decision Making Process: Are the Dancers truly free to experience the Space as they want? Or was the Space meticulously planned in order to predict each of their moves and therefore their Perception of Space?

Designing a Structure fully made out of Bamboo furthermore signifies a deeper comprehension and experimentation of the material. From the original expression of Bamboo forms and structures with Bamboo Skewers , to complex Digital Modelling and Stress Tests with Rhino; the final outcome of the Model Making process represents a maximisation of the Bamboo’s strength. This complicated process contributes to the generation of the Bamboo Column blossoming like a flower in an Urban Field of Concrete.

The Saigon Education Village challenges both Architectural Principles and Construction Technologies The Final Outcome of the Project is to spread the knowledge and research of Bamboo Construction to the whole country. From a simple 5m x 5m box, the project generates many possibilities (Modules - adjacent figures) for the functionalities of the different spaces. Bamboo can be one way to Translate Nature into Architecture and it is certainly not the only way, as Shigeru Ban demonstrated with Paper Tubes. With Investigation, Commitment and Experimentation, there are infinite outcomes to the Concepts and Ideas leading to the generation of Architecture.

SAIGON EDUCATION VILLAGE _Final Degree Project _Comprehensive Design
Located in Ho Chi Minh City, the Saigon Education Village targets to solve many ongoing crisis in Vietnam: Education, Air Pollution, Homelessness, etc. Furthermore, the design of the project translates the ambition of a Bamboo School and Research Facility. After the conceptualisation and experimentation of the structure, the final composition alternates Bamboo Gridshells and Columns blooming from the combination of traditional construction systems and joinery innovations. Other architectural boundaries between
subjects tackled in Inside and Outside or
this project relates to the the idea of a Circular Frame.
The Saigon Education Village accommodates many functions and a variety of users: Kindergarten (40-50 Children _ below 5 years old) ; Primary School (40 Children _ 5 to 11 years old) ; Secondary School (40 Children _ 12 to 18 years old) ; Administration Staff (75-100 Adults) ; Research Facility Staff (50 Adults). The vertical zoning of the functions contributes to the efficiency and safety of each user.
The fall of the Education System in Vietnam represents the ideal opportunity to educate the new generation to approach critical situations such as the Air Pollution, Homelessness and other issues as part of their duty to solve them.
