Why Use Light Steel Frame? Light gauge steel is perfectly positioned to meet construction industry demands – it is future proof and future ready. As an advanced high performance offsite solution, steel is not susceptible to shrinkage, warping, cracking, rot infestation or moisture absorption. Steel is a robust, rigid and dimensionally stable material that does not suffer from movement created by moisture related issues.
Lightweight, structurally efficient steel frames reduce foundation requirements and makes construction on top of existing buildings viable. Steel offers significant improvements in design capability and as an offsite manufactured solution, it is not adversely affected by severe weather - delivering both cost and programme certainty. The inherent benefits of steel construction are why this innovative material is dominant in shaping our city skylines.
Light gauge steel is perfectly positioned to meet the construction industry’s demands – it is future proof and future ready.
Frame Specialists As pioneers of light gauge steel construction, EOS Facades specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of a wide range of steel sections for panelised or volumetric offsite solutions. Sections can be supplied in ‘loose’ bundles to make up in-situ or as walling, base or roof elements, and manufactured offsite as prefabricated cassettes. The prefabricated elements can also be fitted with insulation, lining boards and decking boards or even assembled in to volumetric modular space frames if required. Our entire section range provides unique swaging technology and dimpling characteristics as standard. Panels and cassettes requiring boarding are presented with completely flush faces, negating the requirement for packers and shims. Tight tolerances can be provided as the stud and track sections effectively self-align, thereby ensuring that dimensional parameters are achieved without the need for complex jigging or clamping. All of these options can be completely tailored to suit our client’s individual specifications.

SHAPING THE FUTURE WITH SINIAT EOS Facades’ ambition to become the leading player in Steel Frame Systems has recently been accelerated following the announcement that our company has been acquired by the prominent dry construction solutions company - Siniat. The acquisition follows a decade of developing the EOS Facades product and service range, underpinned by significant investment in state-of-the-art design and manufacturing technology, coming together to deliver award winning steel framing systems across a wide range of construction sectors. The Siniat deal provides an outstanding opportunity to combine our technical expertise and specialist knowledge with those of Siniat to create innovative new solutions for light steel frame designers, engineers and installers. Siniat manufactures drywall products and systems for partitions, ceilings, wall linings and external sheathing purposes – so there is a natural synergy between our product portfolios.

Manufacturing EOS Facades are expanding our product portfolio with investment in our fifth Howick machine - the only FRAMA machine in the UK - we are now able to support the volumetric modular building sector together with the high bay and continuous walling industries. In addition to our existing 150mm range, we now also offer 200 and 250mm deep sections in gauge thicknesses ranging from 1.2mm to 2mm. Section lengths are fully customisable. Precision built offsite products require the application of leading-edge technology and contemporary manufacturing processes. EOS has invested substantially in the latest software and hardware systems in steel frame production. Our systems combine the state-of-the-art E-Frame technology platform with proven assembly processes, providing fully framed panels that do not require jigging. Sophisticated software transfers design information directly to our production plant where we are able to manufacture to accuracies that exceed construction industry norms. In-house manufacturing, exploiting advanced machinery and effective offsite processes, enables repeat quality every time. Our roll-forming machines produce framing components ready for onsite assembly, eliminating the need to manually cut components to size.

Sustainability Credentials The statistics cannot be ignored – buildings are responsible for nearly half of the UK’s carbon emissions, half of its water consumption, around a third of its landfill waste and a quarter of all raw materials used in the economy. After water, steel is the most recycled product on our planet, with research showing that 99% of structural steelwork is reused or recycled. EOS Facades is committed to promoting sustainability within construction - our steel is highly recyclable, providing little onsite waste.
