We are delighted to announce that we are expanding our product portfolio. With investment in our fifth Howick machine, the only FRAMA machine in the UK, EOS are now able to support the volumetric modular building industry with a more comprehensive range of sections. In addition to our existing 150mm range, we now also offer 200 and 250mm deep sections in gauge thicknesses ranging from 1.2mm to 2mm. Section lengths are fully customisable.
These new sizes complement our existing 150mm sections ranging from 65mm to 100mm deep in a range of thicknesses from 1mm, 1.2mm and 1.6mm gauge. So now we have the full spectrum of sections to suit all of your manufacturing and site requirements. Our sections can be supplied in ‘loose’ bundles to make up in-situ or as walling, base or roof elements manufactured offsite as prefabricated cassettes. The prefabricated elements can also be fitted with insulation, lining boards and decking boards or even assembled in to volumetric modular space frames if required. All of these options can be completely tailored to suit your needs. Our entire section range provides unique swaging technology and dimpling characteristics as standard. This means that panels and cassettes requiring boarding are presented with completely flush faces, negating the requirement for packers and shims. It also means that tight tolerances can be provided as the stud and track sections effectively self-align, thereby ensuring that dimensional parameters are achieved without the need for complex jigging or clamping.

Expanded 150mm range

• Enables us to produce up to 10m high walls, typically for tall division walls in factories, atriums etc. • Enables increased wall depth options.
EOS can now manufacture 2.0mm thick 150mm sections. This enables us to resist greater loads (wind/cladding) without having to increase to a 200mm Section. We now offer much greater value-engineered solutions. The new section enables us to offer 150mm deep sections when required but will be able to span larger distances.
Larger flanges • 150mm section is available in (1.2mm, 1.6mm & 2.0mm thick) which enables the extra-deep 65mm flange. • 200mm / 250mm section has the extra-deep flange as a standard. • It is much more beneficial for boarding and allows us to produce unique cladding solutions.
NEW 200 and 250mm deep sections • Achieves much taller stud heights and can support increased loadings. • Reduces the requirement for secondary Hot Rolled Steel to be added therefore reducing costs. • Value-engineered wall options e.g. 1. Parapets are often 200mm even though infill walls are all 100/150mm, plus there have been occasions where deep SFS zones are required within the same floor as the usual 100/150mm SFS (i.e. sports hall connecting to classroom block) so we can now cater for all eventualities within one scheme. 2. Architects are increasingly asking for ‘deep’ walls to envelope the whole of the column zone. 3. Maintains continuous external and internal boarding line which greatly reduces on site cutting and installation time. 4. Easier fire protection details achieved i.e. clean plasterboard (internal) and fire board (external) so hot rolled steel is fully enclosed. 5. Eliminates requirement for twin leaf walls.
Increase spans available for floor cassettes • •
Stronger beams = longer spans Option to use larger sections in a thicker gauge as opposed to a lattice option, we can also provide a C Section cassette as an alternative solution when 150mm C section capacity is exceeded.
Modular Volumetric & Pods • • • • •
Increased heights and spans = larger room modules. Wider sections mean wider service holes in web of stud/track to accommodate larger pipework (i.e. waste disposal) and services. Increased loadings can be supported (i.e. larger bath unit, marble tiles rather than porcelain, etc.). Option to supply prefabricated wall, floor and ceiling panels. Option to provide volumetric space frame.

New Punch options • Perimeter track web tab designed to be used as floor/roof joist connection. • Lipped/swaged service hole 110mm (200mm sections) & 140mm (250mm sections) diameter allowing more flexibility for service runs. • Standard service hole increased to 40mm available across the 150, 200 and 250mm section range.
