What I Wish I Knew as a Freshman at EOU

This [university] is your time to be you; unabashedly, genuinely, and uniquely you. It's okay if you don't get along with everybody, but as long as at the end of the day you can look in the mirror and know that you have given it your all-academically, mentally, physically, even spiritually you will unconditionally give others the same power to realize they are equally wonderful.
The one thing that I wished I knew before going to college was that opportunities are endless and change is okay. I always thought that in order to be successful in college you had to have your whole college career in line and be prepared for everything. [..] I have changed my field and expectations multiple times and I do not regret it one bit. Life isn't meant to be planned. Be okay with going with the flow. Take those challenges day by day because they help you grow into a stronger individual.
School has been great. I met the love of my life here; but what I learned is that if you know what type of career you would like to pursue, start looking for as much experience as you can now. I found that waiting until the last minute causes everything to fall apart at the slightest uphill challenge. All I can say is be prepared. Being an undergrad means you have access to a lot of helpful resources. Take advantage of these resources and you'll be set by the time your senior year rolls around.
