he moved across the stage like she owned it. I could see Vanessa Lynnae loved to perform. Fame Fest is an art show hosted by a gallery on Melrose were some artist were being showcased. Graffiti artist owned the walls that night as their spray cans detailed their work while the live DJ’s music field the night air with some Hip hop, electro and house music. The volume was lowered, then I heard a voice over the speakers, it was a cute girl with a snap back cap speaking with a smile on her face. Vanessa’s energy and crisp lyrical delivery gave notice she was the real deal as she began to the move crowd. I watched her perform 2 songs as she moved through the art field area of which she now replaced the music that was playing before her. Vanessa ended her short but intense performance as the crowds applauds followed her thanks to everyone… it was good stuff. After speaking with DJ Eddie J Correa, I was introduced to Vanessa’s producer, Rick1. As we walked through the Fame
Fest I explained my interest in an interview with his artist. He was very receptive to the idea and without hesitation made the connection with Vanessa to coordinate a meeting. She welcomed the idea as well. The next day I talked with Rick1 and the day after I was on my way to their studio. I only had a few question but they made me feel at home. Here’s what Vanessa had to say.
Epic 100: Who is Vanessa Lynnae? Vanessa Lynnae: A young girl from a small town that discovered she could rap and loved music. I thought If could help somebody with life by showing them what I’ve been through in mine with my music that would be great. Now a lot of my music is geared to show people how to have a good time and enjoy their life, that’s where I am right now. Epic 100: How did you get started rapping? I started writing poetry when I was around 15…16 and I got

really into Eminem… just his delivery and his flow and everything. I just thought he was a genius and I thought… you know… I think I can do this, so I started rappin and I went to school for a little bit I stopped and 3 years ago I decided that I’m not cut out for a 9 to 5 job no behind the desk for me so I thought let’s try this rapping thing again and it just stuck. Epic 100: At Fame fest I got a chance to see you perform and you seem to love the connection with the audience. Tell us a little about the feeling you get performing live! Vanessa Lynnae: It’s amazing you know it’s funny… people say I have a great performance that I interact with the audience but it’s funny cause that was the scariest thing when I first started. Now it the most incredible feeling to see people excited to see you up there and their really listing to what you’re saying…I can’t even explain it if you haven’t done it hard to explain how amazing it makes you feel…it’s better than anything I’ve ever felt. Epic100: Who are your musical influences and how do they inspire you as an artist? Vanessa Lynnae: I’m a Big time Eminem fan… I was able to relate to him at a point in my life with struggles and family situation that for me it was crazy that someone I don’t know could speak to me about my own life and help pull me out of the bad times I feel I could do that for someone else. Epic100: How do you feel about the female representation in the industry as a female artist? Vanessa Lynnae: As far as females I think that everyone’s doing their own thing and got their own style I’m not practically a fan of all female style, but I got to give them props for doing what they’re doing! It takes a lot of courage just to be a female rapping just to get that respect. They are doing them so I’m cool with that. There are a lot of female rappers underground that are lyrically insane and it’s a lot behind their lyrics! A lot of music I hear on the radio I’m not really impressed with. I wish we could go back to female artist before this generation. Epic100: Before who? Vanessa Lynnae: The latest artists I liked were Eve Missy Elliot and before them we had Mc Lyte Queen Latifah then take it back to Salt- N- Peppa! I remember Salt –NPeppa were the first female group and I was like Oh my Gosh!! Epic 100: I think Lil Kim put a stop to all the girls doing it before her how do you feel about that period in Rap?

Vanessa Lynnae: I could see some females probably being intimidated cause a lot of female like myself I show my stomach, but I don’t show everything and as a female if you’re not into that when you want to be respected for your talent and your lyrical content it could be intimidating. What Kim rapped about (sexually explicit content) I would never talk about in my lyrics that graphically. Epic100: So tell us about your image. Vanessa Lynnae: It’s pretty much what you see snap backs half shirt maybe jacket some cool pants and some Vlado shoes kicks and hats that it pretty much… my signature… It’s fun cause I move around a lot when I perform you won’t catch me rockin those six inch stilettos. Epic100: If you could perform with anyone dead or alive who would it be and why? Vanessa Lynnae: My answer will always be Eminem he’s always been a major influence in my life. You know it’s funny how people get all like star struck and I say I don’t think I’d do that, but if Eminem walked in right now I’d be like shocked and quiet I don’t know ,but I would love to do a track with him. Epic100: What can we look forward to in the future from Vanessa Lynnae? Vanessa Lynnae: Oh man… a lot with just listening to my tracks they are all so different and that’s what I want to show people I’m capable of anything I can do the hard fast stuff and can slow it down and do some kick back reggae sounds. I want to show everyone there’s a little bit of everything in me. Last but not least any shout out? Vanessa Lynnae: I got to give major props to my mom; she’s defiantly my backbone and believes in me more than I do myself. I also gotta shout out all of 3013 Rickone Tommy Venusaur our manager Phil Shapiro and everyone who’s got my back!
Destined for a greatness Vanessa Lynnae is standing on the edge of more than most in the game she has an incredible future. working with platinum record producing team Rickone and Thomas with the sounds these accomplished producers continue to create.

Epic100: How would you describe your music/art/ entertainment or the public audience if they have never seen you before? TC: Unique, live, different, animated, energetic, unpredictable. Epic100: Thinking back to early childhood, what was your first experience with music for the first time like? What song do you remember most as a child? TC: My first experience with music was with my pops he would listen to a lot of old school music and jazz...I remember feelin the vibe and beat of the music rather than the lyrics. I remember Das EFX’s song… “They want EFX” was the first song I knew every word to. Epic100: What made you first realize you wanted to pursue a career in music?
TC: Kriss Kross. The style and the look they presented at an early age...And the money lol...but as a young teen its always about the money and the girls lmao... Epic100: What can people expect to see at your live performance? TC: Every live performance brings my fans something new and exciting to experience and take home with them to remember until the next. Since I am consistently working on new projects, I make a point to perform new material as well as classic songs my fans are familiar with. With the uncontrollable energy on stage, and the crowd’s response, a show with TC is always one you will never be able to forget... And you can always expect to see the whole team in the buildin in that G-hood Apparel... Epic100: How long have you been performing live or making art? TC: My biggest break, I would say, has been connecting with DPG artists such as Kurupt, Snoop Dogg & Roscoe with My group G-Hood Fellas. The group connecting with such artists launched the ambition and determination needed for me to pursue my solo career while the G-Hood brand grew as well

as other business ventures such as, my clothing company, Record Label (Ghood Music Group) etc. The latest opportunity I have been given is signing a distribution deal with Snoop Dogg and his company GGOD. Epic100: Where did you meet your group and how long have you been together now? TC: I’ve known the group since day one. We all grew up together… we’re family. Epic100: How much creative control do you have over your own music? TC: 100% I am a creative, independent artist always lookin to give my fans the next best thing. Epic100: What has been the biggest challenge for you or the group? TC: My biggest challenge has been maintaining all the roles I hold. Between the Solo projects, group projects, clothing line, record label, artists that I’ve signed and their projects, and being a family man. The fear of failure, of course always lingers in the back of my mind but I have been blessed with a grind and a team that allows it all to fall into place. Epic100: If you could perform with anyone in the world, either dead or alive, or broke-up who would it be? Why? (Name up to three) TC: 2pac...because he’s a legend. Beyonce...she got all the ladies :) ... and the biggest venues Epic100: As an artist, how would you define success? TC: When what you do whether its rap dance or sing...whatever it is...if you are making a living and able to provide for your family. That’s success. Beauty N’ Betrayal From the outside looking in, Keisha Lee has a fairy-tale life. Beautiful and rich, she has all the material things a woman desires. But those things come with a price Beauty n’ Betrayal By: Troynetta Johnson
“T
omorrow is your big day,” Dino said while laying across the king sized bed. “Yes baby, it is, and I can’t wait,” Keisha said with a big smile sitting at the edge of the bed scanning through Ebony magazine and daydreaming about her big day. “You haven’t thanked me yet.” Dino stretched his long masculine legs out and kicked the silk comforter off of him.“Thank you for what baby?” Keisha asked, turning to look at him. “Thank me for who you are,” he said, getting pissed at her changing attitude. “What do you mean?” Keisha said with a confused look. “Before me, you weren’t shit. Now look at you. A woman who wears the hottest designer clothes, lives in a fly crib, and drives the finest vehicle. You are the envy of every bitch. Not to mention you have me. Hell, if I put you on the market I’d make a killing off your ass. I made you a hot brand.” Keisha sat there thinking, this bastard is talking about me like I’m not human. Did he just call me a brand? All of this is his shit, not mine. “So thank me, baby,” Dino

said again. Keisha placed the magazine down and walked over to Dino’s side of the bed, looked him straight in the eyes, and said, “Thank you, Daddy. Thank you for everything that you have done for me and my mother. I love you.” She kissed him on the lips. That’s sweet baby, but it’s not enough.” Keisha understood what that meant, so she started kissing his chest slowly making her way down to his jewels when he grabbed her by the hair and roughly pushed her off him. “No! That’s not what I want either.” She didn’t know what to do. He had never turned down her sexual advances before. “What do you want, Daddy? Your wish is my command,” Keisha whispered softly in his ear. “I want you to crawl for me.” “Crawl?” Keisha said loudly, laughing in disbelief. This duck is full of himself. He can’t be serious. “Bitch, do it look like I’m joking? Get on your knees and crawl!” “Dino, I’m not crawling. I’ll do whatever else you want, but I’m not groveling on the floor like a fucking dog.” Dino thought, that’s exactly what you are, bitch. “When I met you, I remember that you and your mother were about to get evicted.

You didn’t have shit; you barely had a pot to piss in ora window to throw it out of. You were using toilet tissue as a sanitary napkin. I introduced you to Stayfree. I buy your clothes, your hygiene products, and keep your hair and nails done. Without me you’re nothing but a bum with a pretty face. I gave you life. You just existed. I am your GOD and I said crawl hoe, so crawl!” “Dino, I was fifteen. What was I supposed to do? I wasn’t old enough to work,” Keisha said, as she rolled over on her side. Dino jumped up and grabbed Keisha by her arm and threw her to the floor. She hit the side of her face on the nightstand. He didn’t care. Keisha balled up in a fetal position; she knew what was next. He kicked, hit, and squeezed the back of her neck as he screamed, “Crawl bitch, crawl!” in her ear. The pain from the sharp thrusts of his kicks was becoming unbearable, so she started to crawl. “That’s right. Crawl for your Daddy.” Dino walked over to the camera that he kept set up in their bedroom and pressed the record button. He then walked in view of the camera and ordered Keisha to crawl to him and kiss his feet. Pulling out his penis, he instructed her to lick it like a puppy licks his paw. Scared for her life, Keisha did everything Dino commanded. The last time she disobeyed him, he kept her locked in the room for a week without anything to eat or drink but stale crackers and tap water. When he finally let her out, she had to go to the hospital. Dino violently fucked Keisha until she bled like she was on her menstrual. The more she cried and screamed from the pain, the more turned on he became. After reaching his peak a few times, he picked Keisha up like a dirty rag and carried her into the bathroom. He dumped her in the tub and turned the hot water on. The water burned Keisha’s feet. She reached up and moved the handle to make the water lukewarm. “Soak your ass for a minute. It’ll feel better in the morning. Then come wipe this blood off my fucking floor.” Keisha sat there balled up and in much pain. A few hours later, long after the water was cold,
Keisha finally got enough strength to clean herself. As she wiped her face, she felt pain on the right side. Frantically, she searched for a dry towel to wipe the mirror and get a clear view of her face. There was a small cut under her eye. She ran cold water on the towel and pressed it on the cut to take the swelling down. Keisha stared at herself in the mirror. She realized that she didn’t know that person anymore. She started reminiscing about how her life was before the death of her father. Growing up, she never wanted for anything. Her parents kept the sharpest house, cars, clothes, and jewelry in the hood. Keisha’s mother, Is’ Bella, was every man in the hoods dream chick. Is’ Bella was stunningly beautiful. Bi-racial (Italian and Black); 5’8 without heels, slender build, olive tone baby-smooth skin, high cheek bones, long dark silky hair, chestnut brown eyes with the prettiest smile and teeth that you ever seen. She used to model until she met Keisha’s father, Chico, who promised her the world. And he provided, true to his word with the hood riches. Chico was a big timer. He stood 6’2”, dark skinned, dark brown eyes, and a medium build with black wavy hair. He always wore a goatee to compliment his face. When he would smile for the ladies to show off his even pearly white teeth, they would giggle like little schoolgirls, but they didn’t have a chance in the world. Is’ Bella was the head bitch in charge. She had her hooks in him super deep. He loved her unconditionally. Keisha thought about how her father used to lift her and her friends up on his arms as weights for exercise. Keisha and her parents use to take exotic trips around the world. She remembered her 8th birthday when her daddy bought her a pony. She named him Thunder. She dreamed he would grow up to be the fastest racehorse in America. Keisha cried like a baby when her mother had to sell Thunder to pay the mortgage. “I miss you so much daddy,” Keisha said aloud as a tear rolled down her face. “Things would be so much better if you were here.” Word on the street was that her Uncle Ray had set her father up, his own brother. She was 12-years-old when her father died. Is' Bella

hadn’t been the same since Chico’s death. “What the hell are you doing in there? Bring yo ass out here and get in the bed. You know I can’t sleep without you,” bellowed Dino. Keisha quickly snapped back to reality once she heard Dino’s voice. “Here I come,” she said nervously. Sounds like you was just sleeping fine to me, she thought. Back in the bedroom, Keisha cleaned her blood up off the cherry wood floor and reluctantly got in the bed next to Dino. He turned over towards Keisha, pulled her slim body towards him, kissed her on the back of her neck, and said, “I love you baby. Get some rest. Tomorrow is your big day.” His touch made her flush crawl. Keisha knew that it was time for her to leave. She had to make an exit plan, like the one that was on The Oprah Show. She thought about killing him and using the tapes as evidence of her abuse. But she knew there would be severe consequences behind that action from both the law and the streets. Dino was a big timer, he took care of a lot of households and people need him to eat. As Dino snored loudly, Keisha brainstormed until she came up with an excellent escape plan. As soon as she dosed off, her mother was at the door knocking and telling her to get up. “Wake up Keisha. Today is your special day. Keisha, get up. Do you hear me?” “Yes, I hear you Mom. Here I come.” Keisha nudged Dino so he could wake up. “Dino get up and open the door. I got to get dressed and my clothes are downstairs. Dino get up.” “Okay baby,” Dino said. Dino got up, grabbed his boxers, and went into the bathroom. Keisha was standing by the bedroom door waiting for him to enter the code so she could open the door. “Dino come on, I don’t want to be late.” “Here I come,” Dino said while yawning and rubbing his eyes. When he looked at Keisha’s face he immediately felt remorse for what he did to her. “Baby, I’m sorry, I don’t know what got into me. I smoked some new weed last night. That shit had me out of my body. I’m sorry,” Dino said repeatedly. Not as sorry as your ass is going to be, Keisha thought. “It’s fine, nothing a little MAC won’t cover.” “Please forgive me.” “I forgive you,” Keisha said with a devious smirk. “Now get ready so that you can drop me off.” “Alright, but first I got a surprise for you.” Dino walked over to the nightstand and pulled out a skinny, long box. Keisha took the box and kissed Dino on the cheek in seeming delight. “Thank you. Now can you please open the door?”
14
Epicenter 100 magazine.con
“Aren’t you gonna open it?” “Yes, but not now. I’ll open it after I get dressed.” Keisha tried not to show her impatience. “I think you may want to open it now.” Keisha opened the box, and there was a funny looking square black box with buttons on it and a piece of paper underneath. “What’s this?” she asked. “Go to the window,” Dino ordered. Keisha was scared, thinking that his crazy ass would push her out the window. She got close enough to see the trees outside. “Yeah baby, it looks beautiful out there,” she said, then turned to walk away. He pulled her back, turned her around, and told her to walk closer and look down. Her heart was racing. She searched the floor frantically to find something to hit him with, but nothing was in sight. As she walked closer to the window, she closed her eyes and started praying. “Lord please do not let this insane bastard throw me out this window.” Once she got to the window, she opened her eyes and looked down. Her mouth dropped open as she stared in disbelief. With a huge smile on her face, she turned around quickly to Dino and asked, “Is that mine?” “Yes baby it’s yours.” She picked the paper up out of the box. It was the title to a C-Class 320 sport coupe Silver Mercedes Benz, with her name, “Keisha Malina Lee” listed as the owner. She jumped on Dino and hugged him tight while kissing him all over his face. Instantly forgetting about the torture he put her through last night. Her only concern was that Silver Benz parked in the driveway of their home with a pink ribbon on top. “I have to go show my Mom. Dino, unlock the door. Please.” “Alright.” Dino wanted to get some head, but he knew after his cruel performance from last night, it would be best if he waited ’til later to ask. Keisha ran down the stairs and busted into her mother’s room, waving her title. Is’ Bella was smiling from ear to ear until she saw her daughter’s face. “Mom, I got me a Benz!” “I know, baby. What happened to your face Keisha?” “Mom, you already know.” “Keisha what did you do?” Keisha stood their shocked. She couldn’t believe her ears. How could a mother askContinue her child something reading like that, she thought. “What do you mean, what did I do?” Keisha said, confused. download or “Keisha come sit down. Why do you make him upset? Do you like this house we purchase live in; the hard clothes, jewelry, furs, and your copy at amazon new car? Do you like all these nice things that he provides?” Is’Bella asked as she applied makeup to her daughter’s face. Click Link! “Yes Mom, I do.” contact info Epicenter100magazine@yahoo.com

rinding hard and pushing his lyrics to the next level Enzo McCalla is on a strong rise. Enzo released his first mixtape Max Payne The Cold Case showing how persistence can pay off. Enzo dropped a series of Audios on YouTube that garnered respect forhis delivery and lyrical content. I found his music by chance but I’ve been following him ever since. I hit Enzo with a few question and he got back at us. This is Enzo! Epic: When did you first start Rapping? Enzo: I first got into the hip-hop interest when I was only 15 years old. Epic: Have you always enjoyed the art of music? Enzo: Yes, music was always around me whether outside or in my household, many different genres of music were being played. Epic: Who are your musical inspirations? Enzo: Jay-Z, J. Cole, Nas, Tupac, KoLition, and Kanye West are my biggest musical inspirations as of today. Epic: If you weren’t Rapping, what would you be doing? Enzo: I would be preparing for college and starting my major in the Business field. Epic: What do you think about when you’re preforming? Enzo: I’m thinking about the entertainment and the type of energy I’m giving off to the crowd. Before every show, my anxiety gets a hold of me but what helps me get past it is knowing that once I’m up there, there’s no turning back so it’s best to just get the job done! Epic: What kind of music do you listen to today? Enzo: Majority of different genres such as Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop and even some country music because it helps me create samples when I’m making my beats. Epic: What embarrassing songs might I find on your MP3 player? Enzo: Ummm as far as embarrassing, I don t think there’s anything that’s embarrassing lol it’s just a variety of different sounding music. Epic: What else can we expect from you in the future? Enzo: My own record label, many endorsements, grammys lol everything positive for sure.

We’ve been fans of Kindred Gomez since the first time we heard him rap. I guess it’s was something about the truthfulness in his lyrics. Not overly pretentious, but with swag of delivery he can stand and rely on the story that he tell. Los Angeles based we are but sometimes you have to travel a few miles to find some great artist grinders but with the net I found Kindreds music and the rest is as they say is history! Epic100: Please tell the readers what country you’re from and where you are currently living. Kindred: I'm from Virgin Islands and I currently live there. Epic100: How old were you when you came to the States and was it a big transition for you? Kindred: First time I went to the US was when I was about 8, I was on the all-star team for my country and we went over there to play, but my first time living there was when I went to college there and it wasn't really a big transition because where I'm from everything we do is US based.
Epic100: When I listen to your music it has a cool and deep feeling, what do you attribute your sound to and your lyrical content to in your music? Kindred: I always write about stuff that happens in my personal life or stuff I've seen people go through. Epic100: Do you feel the economic crunch has hurt the industry, or do you have some other promotional tips to help support your music? Kindred: It can go both ways because albums aren't selling as much but now the internet is such a big tool that you can market yourself if you know what you're doing. Epic100: Do you have any fan comments of how your music has affected or changed them? Kindred: When I read fans' comments they do tend to affect me. I think it's because I cater to many audiences, guys get mad when I do love songs but the ladies love it and the ladies hate when I do straight raw Hip-Hop stuff but that's what the guys like. public to support “live music” and see the shows any ideas? Kendred: If you want the public to go any of your live shows then you have work hard in building your brand first and putting out there so people can be interested in what's going on. Epic100: What image do you think your music conveys and why did you choose this type of image for your music? Kindred: I think my music conveys the imagine of me being a normal guy with everyday issues that people can relate to, I rap about getting my heart broken, people doubting me, things I saw when I grew up, etc. I would never rap about things I do not do, that would make me look fake, I don't try to be this tough gangster rapper who claims to be in the hood and sell drugs because that's not me. Epic100: If you could perform with anyone in the world, either dead or alive, or broke-up who would it be? Why? If I could perform with 3 people then I think those people would be: Miguel, Busta Rhymes and Shurwayne Winchester. The energy those three acts possess when they're performing is incredible. Epic100: How do you rate your live performance ability? 24

Indie-rock Musicians Initiate a Revolution in Men’s & Woman’s Fashion
The clothes worn by musicians have always sent shockwaves through the fashion industry, helping to stimulate trends that have gone down in history. Today, things are no different. It’s no secret that guitar
that has gripped our society for decades. During the 1960s in the heyday of The Beatles, many men would wear their hair long, inspired by the style of the Liverpudlian songsters. Similarly, in the 1980s, Michael Jackson’s legendary red zipper jacket – made famous in music videos for Beat It and Thriller – was all the rage, with both men and women donning the fashion item. These clothes helped spark the fashion sense of many generations, as people took inspiration from their favourite musicians in order to create their own look and define the fashion atmosphere of an era. Today, a variety of modern musicians have helped engender new trends in men’s fashion. Modern rockers Kasabian for example, are featured in the 150th anniversary ad campaign for British fashion label, Burberry. Moreover, Pete Doherty’s relationship with British supermodel Kate Moss has made him a staple figure not just in the mainstream press but in the fashion world as well. Indie rave and electro acts, such as The Klaxons and Brazilian scenesters CSS, have also had a significant impact on musical fashion, with The Klaxon’s bright neon t-shirts and jeans engendering a new generation of cool.
music has leapt into the charts of late, and that over the last few years, indie-rock groups have become a mainstay in the local media. In fact, music magazines like the NME have been flying off the shelves with the newfound popularity of these bands. However, just as their music has become increasingly ingrained in the mainstream, so too have their fashion trends. From Alex Kapranos, Franz Ferdinand’s front man, to Pete Doherty, indie music has hit the fashion industry hard in recent years – and to good effect. The idea of popular music artists starting fashion trends is not an alien one; indeed, it is a phenomenon 30
Epicenter 100 magazine.con
Music and fashion have become so intertwined that the NME’s annual music awards have even incorporated the category of ‘Best Dressed Artist’ in their annual NME Awards Show, this year held on March 1st at Hammersmith Palais. The category is sponsored by Topman, a popular fashion retailer who continue to lead the way in men’s clothes and men’s fashion. Last year’s nominees included Pete Doherty, Alex Kapranos, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Liam Gallagher and the eventual winner, Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs. The proliferation of indie-rock figures here clearly indicates the influence of such artists in the men’s fashion industry today – a trend which is sure to continue into the future. contact info Epicenter100magazine@yahoo.com

The Top Jobs for 2013
Struggling to find a job? If you’re an accountant, computer systems analyst or event coordinator, there’s a good chance your luck will change in 2013. These three professions are among the best jobs that require a bachelor’s degree for 2013, according to a new study by CareerBuilder and Economic Modeling Specialists Intl. (EMSI). The study used EMSI’s rich labor market database, which pulls from over 90 national and state employment resources and includes detailed information on employees and self-employed workers, to find the 18 top jobs for 2013, based on the occupations with the most jobs added since 2010. “The list identifies occupations that are on an upward trajectory regarding employment,” says Matt Ferguson, chief executive of CareerBuilder. “Job seekers can gain insights into where companies are expanding and opportunities that are available.” The occupation that has produced the most jobs post-recession: Software developer (applications and systems software). Since 2010, 70,872 jobs have been added (7% growth). Why? “Companies are competing to get to market first with innovations that will create new revenue streams,” Ferguson says. “They want to capitalize on mobile technologies and social media. They want to extract, parse and apply Big Data to bring better solutions to their clients and their own businesses. They need technologists in place who can devise bigger and better strategies, and execute.” According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, most software developers work for computer systems design and related services firms

or software publishers. Others work in computer and electronic product manufacturing industries. They typically have a bachelor’s degree in computer science. The average pay for these professionals is $90,530 a year, and the BLS expects a 30% increase in the number of software developers by 2020 (from 2010). In the No. 2 spot is accountants and auditors. These professionals prepare and examine financial records, and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time. Over 37,100 jobs have been added since 2010 (a 3% increase). Most employers require an accountant or auditor job candidate to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, and others will want the candidate to be certified within a specific field, according to the BLS. These professionals make $61,690, on average, per year. The third best job for 2013: Market research analysts and marketing specialists. The profession has added 31,335 jobs since 2010, which is a 10% increase. According to the BLS, they earn about $60,570 a year, on
average. The profession is expected to grow 41% by 2020 (from 2010). What do they do? Market research analysts study market conditions to examine potential sales of a product or service. They help companies understand the marketplace; what products people want, who will buy them, and at what price. Strong math and analytical skills are typically required, as well as a bachelor’s degree. Top research positions often require a master’s, according to the BLS. Elsewhere on the list: Computer systems analysts (No. 4), mechanical engineers (No. 9), and database administrators (No. 15). “Technology and engineering roles make up the majority of the top ten positions, indicative of the continued and heightened investments companies are making in these areas,” Ferguson says. “You also see growth in production-related jobs as U.S. manufacturing rallies after experiencing significant losses during the recession. There is also strong demand for sales and marketing roles as companies look to grow revenue and extend their visibility and reach. Finally, there are more jobs supporting overall business operations as the economy improves.”

What’s good tec? The Blackberry Z10
Iphone 5 vs Blackberry Z10 For most of us, like myself, who it took a little longer to trade the Blackberry to the android craze – I was genuinely happy to see the blackberry was back with a brand new phone, touch-screen and based on brand new technology. The key ingredient of BlackBerry 10 is a real time operating system (RTOS), QNX, which has been used in various NASA missions, nuclear power stations, high speed train control systems around the world. The Z10 was pieced out and together all the components ring in at a total of $154 when all is said and done. By comparison it’s a bit higher than that of the iPhone 5 but it does have some higher-spec parts. Check out the full breakdown piece-by-piece below. Processor $23.50 Touchscreen $26.50 Cameras $15.00 Flash storage (16GB) $9.00 Other components $ 21.00 Remaining major materials $ 59.00

Epic100: What makes your sound so unique? Hyte: What makes my sound unique is my originality I believe originality is what sets artist apart. I like to rap about things that pertain to my life I talk about things that I’ve seen and been through my stories are original to my life and that’s what makes me unique. Epic100: What has been the reaction from your growing fan base? Hyte: I first started it was 2006 selling my mix tape out of my trunk of my car. When I first started recording I was a monotone artist and I was so anxious to put out my music that I rushed to put my first project out just to be happy I had something out there. I got mixed reaction from the crowd at first but I continued to grow as an artist and continued to develop my style and putting out more music I began hearing from my fans that my style has grown as an artist and that I’m more original than I have ever been. When I first started rapping I was influence by other artist and I was kinda leaning toward their side when I wrote and delivered my rap, but now I’ve grown into my own and I think the fans appreciate that and the fan base continues to grow! I have fans from 10 years ago that still follow my music…that’s a good feeling! Epic100: When you go out in the public are you noticing people recognizing you what does that feel like? Hyte: I actually do notice recognizing me, it can be in a movie theatre a grocery store the mall or I can just be out and about n traffic and someone can pull up on the side of me and they’ll be like “I like your music I got your CD from you keep doing your thing stay focused” it’s times like that keep me motivated to keep making good music and putting it out there. One thing that I’ve learned from being out here selling my music is you learn what people like, but when you live in the studio and put your music out completely over the internet you don’t get the feel of the streets and the people like but you have to be ready for criticism me being out in the street and doing what I’ve done for so many years the people the streets have actually given me what I need, I hear what they are listing to and I pay attention to that. Whatever they pull up playing and I apply it to myself the street will let you know what’s hot and what’s not. Epic100: What was it like performing live for the first time? Hyte: I would have to say it was never racking when I first performed because I hadn’t rehearsed lol I was just free styling not on the Mic but how I moved on stage. Over the course of time I’ve learned to rehearse and now I know exactly what I want to do on stage. Epic100: What was it like to hear your music playing from some else’s car stereo, radio or club?
Hyte: It was exciting it was motivation for me cause sometime you feel like your music is touching nobody so when you hear someone pull up playing your music it give you the confirmation that you’re doing the right thing to stay focused and continue grinding! Epic100: Tell us about the inspiration process for developing a song? Hyte: Most of the time when I create a song I start with verses and I write them out then I try to make my hook match with exactly what my verses are about that’s how I create an actual song. I’ll start with verses then create my hooks maybe three hooks so I can match the actual hooks with the right verse. I don’t need drugs or alcohol to motivate or inspire me to get my juices flowing to create all I need is the right beat. The right beat can bring out the best in an artist that’s my inspiration the right beat the right concept and it has to be straight from my heart when I create the song. My music comes from my experiences or something I’m going through or went through even internally or something in the past. My music has to be about me period. Epic100: In your opinion what sets your music apart from other independent artist you hear these days? Hyte: I do me on everything I say in my music but to be honest when I first started writing I was inspired by other artist. I was like 16 or 17 years old I would write about what other artist were talking about that I listened to but that wasn’t really my life I was just inspired by them. Now as an artist I write about my personal life, things I’ve been through, if its women or hanging out money partying whatever I’m doing I write from my perspective and that’s what sets me apart from everybody else. Artist that are original like Kendrick Lamar, Common and Jeezy artist like that they came out being original I felt they rapped about things that go on in their lives and that’s what set them apart and that’s the same thing that sets me apart... originality more than anything. Epic100: When you write a song in most cases how long is the process from start to finish? Hyte: It depends on what I’m actually talking about in the song. Sometimes it can be a 30min. when I’m talking about making money or having a good time, living life or talking about a woman that’s about a 30min. process but when talking about the harsh environment or the harsh reality of my life I can write that in 15min cause I’m so accustom to it. Growing up in South central it can be a war zone everywhere. I write from the stand point of a young man growing up in LA that didn’t pick a color… Red or Blue. I just stayed in-between it was just me and I write from the perspective of this young

Album review:
J. Cole Truly Yours
Truly Yours succeeds for many of the same reasons J. Cole’s previous efforts did. He can weave his own autobiography in with familiar tracks (“Stay”) and, despite his recent success, still relate to listeners in lower tax brackets with wholly new material as on “Crunch Time.” He’s trimmed the fat since Friday Night Lights, and backs up his claim from “Tears For ODB” that he’s “here for more than just to kick some witty metaphors.” Born Sinner will be the ultimate test of Cole’s desire to grow and experiment as he pointed out in the letter that accompanied Truly Yours. This short set indicates he’s taking steps in the right direction, and his next full-length effort will hopefully appease his old and newer fans.

Power Trip, one of his strongest single selections to date, the Roc Nation emcee gets back to his vivid storytelling tip, weaving a tale of a girl who has him wrapped around her finger. Cole’s energetic, powerful flow combined with his colorful wordplay will surely be music to the ears of those who favor Cole’s older work, with a vibe reminiscent of Dreams, another tale of Cole’s obsessive love. Grammy winner Miguel Golden Gates the tune lending his silky vocals to the bridge, adding yet another element to the dense effort. Born Sinner has been pushed back to an April 30, but the buzz for the album should pick up with the release of this tune and his Truly Yours EP, featuring a handful of cuts that did not make the album.

guy trapped in this big ass circle of all this drama that’s going on and the guy is just trying to do him, and it hard cause you got all this stuff trying to suck you in and that’s what enables me to write a song in 15min. cause it’s right there in my head and in my heart I write that real quick, but when it comes to writing a partying and having a good time or something like that, and it all comes from me still but it might take 30min.
Epic100: How did your first get started rapping? I was at my relative’s house and another one of my relatives came over and he was already rappin, but he wasn’t writing he was free styling. I was so inspired by G-unit when I first started making music they were my favorite along with listening to Eminem Dre and things everybody was doing at that time man… I was inspired them Lil Jon, TI and Nelly. Epic100: To this date what would you say is your favorite My fam was already free styling and I was inspired by all song or complete project you have put out? those artist he would come over with beat cd’s and would Hyte: I would have to say ‘Grind Time Music’ my latest and start free styling and one day he said he was going to write newest project because it just feels right. ‘Grind Time Music’ something and I said to myself let me try that. This was my project is a feel good music CD it’s not too bad not to good first time writing music and it came out alright and ever since it’s no bring people down about themselves it a good time cd then I never stopped writing but I was never recording them. it has comedy everything is on this Cd. One day I had to move with another one of my relatives and his grandma cause I didn’t have a place to go at the time. He Epic100: Where do you get your beats from are any of your took me to a mix tape studio, and that’s how I started recordbeats made specifically for your songs? ing music. The studio was located on Crenshaw and Slauson Hyte: I get a lot of beats sent to me from different producers and that’s where it all started at AG’s studio. The studio was but specifically Tommy Gunz; I record at his studio a few owned by a lady and though the studio is no longer there, others TK, Classic, Front Page. It’s so many Producers that that’s where I learned to record, she gave me my start. Its one send me beats I’m just blessed I be at the right place at the thing to be able to rap in person it’s another thing to be able right time. It can be hard to get really good tracks somehow to rap on a Mic to make sure your lyrics are crisp and your I’m Blessed with the right ones I work with a lot of different delivery is right and things like that. I learned all this from producers. AG and my homeboy Short Stop. Epic100: What is the feeling of working on projects with other artist you respect in the industry? Hyte: One thing I’ve learned is that I like to work with artist that are inspired by the same things I’m inspired by just being hungry and happy that you have the talent to create good music and we connect on a solid level. I try to find artist on my same level who are hungry and want to be on I don’t care about what kinda artist you are as long as you are hot I’ll do music with you. Epic100: Describe the collaboration process when working with other artist? Hyte: Now a day you don’t have to be in the same studio with an artist. They will send you track and you record your verse and send it back to them that’s normally we do it. On my own projects when the artist is local I’ll call them into the studio to lay there verse and that’s pretty much it. I haven’t really sat in the studio with another artist and created an actual song except once but that project never came out on any of our project I’m not sure what happened it was a solid song. Epic100: Where have your best hooks come from? Hyte:

Epic100: Do you still remember the first rap you wrote if so give us the most memorable line and the hook? Hyte: This is the first hook I ever wrote. We stay fitted and we don’t care who wit it style up squad up and we coming to win it! Lol! LOL! I was so inspired by what was going on at the time Cash Money 50cent everybody that was hot at the time I was inspired by everything. I think that’s when music was at its best! We had Nelly doing his thing we had all these different artist that had their own style Nelly was different 50cent Eminem lil Jon and the East Side Boyz the Young Bloodz was doing their thing and out here we had Snoop you know Dre had The Chronic 2001. I think that was the best time in music from the early 90’s to early 2000’s. I didn’t really start really listing to music until 1995 I was around 10 I mean I listened to hip hop but I didn’t really start paying attention to the lyrics until Tupac, and at that point I went back to the music that had impact in the early 90’s and learned a few things about hip hop history. Epic100: At present, who would you say is making the best industry hip hop music now and why? Hyte: I would have to say Drake Kendrick Lamar also Young money Wayne and Future. try and relevant and in the spotlight but my tops are G-unit TI Ross and I have always been a big Plies fan. It’s so many of them doing their thing it’s difficult to say I like J Cole I like Big Sean…it really is a lot of them. Epic100: If you as an artist could change anything about the music industry what would change and why? Hyte: I would change cheating the numbers on sites like YouTube were people have a million views on their video and 2 likes facebook and twitter follower and you got thousands of followers but aint doing anything… other than that I wouldn’t change anything I like all the social network sites Twitter YouTube and Facebook! Hyte is as real as it gets and we continue to see so much growth in this very talented artist and business man. I guarantee if you meet Hyte during business hours he got something for your ears real talk trunk rattling base and some #realtalk!
