DASHING COLOURS
Around 80% of the material used in Schock sinks is quartz, the hardest constituent of granite. Thus, they are well known as ‘granite sinks’. The granite used in Schock sinks is combined with high grade acrylic to produce a hardened composite material that is resistant to scratches, cracking, stains and is responsible for the long life of the sinks. The world of Schock materials currently comprises of two materials, both developed in-house in Germany by Schock. More than 40 active patents demonstrate the company’s leading position and its unique capacity for innovation in the field of granite sinks.

The new generation of Cristalite has been developed over 30 years and now features substantially improved properties. It is now even easier to clean and has a new intensity of colour. CRISTALITE is food-safe, UV stable and all sinks are finished with Pro Hygenic. This natural antibacterial protection system, developed by Schock, inhibits 95% of bacterial growth, which makes doing kitchen chores a more hygienic and carefree experience.

CRISTADUR EXTREME Pages 52-59 The name says it all. More than two years of R&D have gone into CRISTADUR® EXTREME to create a granite sink material with properties that elicit extreme performance. CRISTADUR® EXTREME offers even more gleaming colours, is even easier to clean with an enhanced dirt-repellent effect and, importantly, is more hard-wearing than anything else you'll find on the market. This is a development with consequences reaching beyond the improvement of the material itself: The extreme strength substantially minimises the material’s risk of transportation damage, making it possible for the sinks to be shipped in reduced, environmentally friendly packaging.

CROSS-LINKED By ingraining the special fibreglass product in the bottom of the sink, Schock has been able to increase the material’s impact resistance several times over, with the organic fibres crosslinking the quartz casting even better, affording the material greater elasticity. The effect can be compared with the difference between cement (tough) and reinforced concrete (tough and flexible).

The humble sink has morphed in to something far more sophisticated in the shape of the Prepstation. The Perfect Match
Our Schock taps are the perfect match for all Schock sinks; the SC-300, SC-200 and SC-90 taps have been clad in actual Cristalite and Cristadur material which means they are a perfect colour and material match to the sinks. Also, as their finish is incredibly robust there will be very little chance of deterioration with regard to scuffing, scratching or discolouration.

COLUMBA
The Columba sinks are a clever economical choice from the more expensive Granite options. They are manufactured from SMC which is glass fibre reinforced polyester. This compound is light weight but tough. Once fitted it will not flex as cheaper materials will and will have an air of a much more expensive product than it actually is. So a pretty good result! Two colours and two bowl options both offering useful capacity bowls.
