From President Zachary Taylor’s war veteran Old Whitey grazing on the prestigious lawns to President Teddy Roosevelt’s frequent trail rides along the Potomac and Rock Creek Parks, equestrian sport has been important to so many who have resided at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
