Book Release – The Reality Slap

For many 2020 has been a year in which the best made plans were laid waste, sometimes with devastating personal and professional consequences,, The question is; once reality has ‘slapped’ us, what can we do to rebound, grieve our losses and begin making a meaningful recovery? Dr Russ Harris is one of Australia’s most respected self-help authors. His book The Happiness Trap has sold more than a million copies around the world and been translated into more than 30 languages. He is one of the world’s leading authorities on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, having trained over 40,000 health practitioners in the approach. He has worked with The World Health Organisation helping refugees to come to terms with the devastating circumstances in which they find themselves. This work was repurposed by The WHO earlier this year to help people come to terms with COVID 19. It is fair to say then that Russ is well placed to offer useful advice on how to pick up the shattered pieces and move into the new year with a sense of purpose, no matter how much of a blow this past few months has dealt us. Russ has just released a new edition of his book The Reality Slap, which is full of practical advice for how to cope well and find meaning and fulfilment in the face of loss and crisis. The content draws heavily on the work he did for the World Health Organisation, which has been proven to be effective, even in such extreme cases as those who left everything behind. Of course, global pandemic aside. ‘reality slaps’ can take many forms, from the death of a loved one or loss of a job to a serious illness, or the ending of a significant relationship. And whatever form it takes, it hurts! In such circumstances, the tools we use to cope with everyday disappointments are just not enough to get us through. Available for purchase from

The Complete Pain Management and Tissue Repair System

When cells are damaged through injury, the body’s biocurrent is disrupted in that area, preventing the production of ATP (Adenosine TriPhosphate), critical for all healthy cellular functions, including repair. ATP is the pump that drives this vital process.

Kick starts tissue repair Reduces inflammation Manages pain

ArcEquine introduces a biocurrent, triggering the body to start the repair at a time it is least able to do so. The horse feels absolutely no sensation. A quicker repair means a stronger repair, less chance of an injury re-occurring and less scarring through working fast with softer tissue. ArcEquine manages pain by repairing tissue, this reduces inflammation, which is how the body perceives pain. A drug free, non-invasive and wearable way.

ArcEquine has become an essential part of our daily routine. All my horses are top Athletes and ArcEquine helps them to recover quicker from competition runs, training sessions, long distance travel as well as improving their overall wellbeing. My team and I wouldn’t be without it.
