Pyrenees Discovery Ride Menu Here you will find our “Ride Menu” for your week in the Pyrenees. We have designed our rides to give you plenty of quality riding, while also taking into account the accumulated training stress of multiple back to back days of riding. We have structured the week so that the ride distances increase gradually, and there should be enough recovery included to enable everyone to get the most out of the week. Some days offer a long and a short ride. Choose your ride wisely and don’t bite off more than you can chew. Depending on group sizes we will most likely also divide each ride into speed groups. We will be available to advice on riding, training, group riding and general skills so please feel free to ask us any questions or advice. But above all, have fun and enjoy yourself!

Tuesday: Today is our first real ride. We will have a relaxed morning and then head out to do a 55km loop. Although only short, the ride does include 2 climbs, the biggest beind the Col d’Agnes which is a surprisingly hard and steep climb. From the top of Agnes it is downhill all the way back home, with the possibility of stopping at the CafÊ on the lake part way down. 55km

Wednesday: Today is the big day. We will ride over 3 mountains today, including the famed Plateau de Beille. We will start off the with the Port de L’Hers climb, then head to the plateau de Beille which is a dead-end; so once we have climbed it, we will return back down the same road we climbed before heading home over the Col de Port for our final climb of the day. 125km

Thursday: We’ve already got a couple of solid days in the legs, and after yesterday we will need something of a rest day today. We will do an easy ride up the valley towards St Girons for a coffee before returning home. Or we can cut it shorter or even have a day off if you feel like it. 50km

Friday: Today is another big day on the bike. After yesterday’s rest day we should be recovered enough to undertake another 3 climb day. Today’s ride takes us over to St Girons, from where we will follow the valley road for a while before climbing the Col de la Core, after which we will climb the Col de Latrape, and finish it off with the smaller Col du Saraille. There are a couple of options to shorten the ride if needs be. Either by doing the Cold de la Core and Saraille (90km), or the Col de Latrape and Saraille (70km). Today’s ride GPS link

Saturday: After yesterday’s big day, we will have a slightly easier day today. “Only” 50km today, but it includes the lesser known Col de la Crouzette which tops out at 1200m 50km
