1891: after the military he started to build a Zeppelin 1896: he became a member of the VDI July 2nd 1900: first flight with the Zeppelin “LZ1” January 17th 1906: he started to create the second Zeppelin “LZ2”

1908: he sold the third Zeppelin to the military August 5th 1908: the fourth Zeppelin “LZ4” was destroyed by a storm 1909: he established the GmbH “Luftschiffbau-Zeppelin” Zeppelins were not good for the WW1
