The site is located in the heart of Rochor precinct, tip of Ophir - Rochor Development as part of URA's master plan. This plot of land that grossed 3449 square meter was increased after merging with the adjacent public car park. The plot of land is prominent to the area due to its notable Rochor Centre and hold potential to be one of Singapore's future cultural and economical node. The project begins by studying and analyzing the history of Rochor, neighboring districts, culture, character and developments happening around before mediating design on to the site. This project aims to explore architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and master planning coupled with critical design thinking to mediates issues that is sensitive to the precinct's culture and character. Designing a park like environment that buffers the surrounding site with a observation deck on accessible green roofs of commercial buildings that encompass eco design strategies to capture rainwater to centralised wetland which channel cleansed stormwater to Rochor canal. A common plaza that attract pedestrians to hangout with accessible greenroofs for the general public.
Site Location; Rochor Centre
Introduction Rochor district located north of Singapore downtown core; central business district is Singapore's arts and culture scene. Representation of Singapore's arts involvement effort. Vibrant in arts and diverse in ethnic culture, attracts tourist and many art enthusiasts to visit appreciate what it got to offer. While development is ever on going, one of its iconic HDB estate Rochor Centre was scheduled to be demolish in 2016. At the same time, the site is having 3 major development happening; North South Expressway that runs from Tuas to Central Area of Singapore, Downtown MRT, Rochor Canal Active Beautiful Clean development and Ophir Rochor development. These developments would enhanced accessibility covenience and boost economical growth to the district. These developments at the same time, threatens loosing of its identity and culture by capital economical growth. This project attempts to mediate various sensitive issues through design policy, guidelines, planning, eco designs and integration with the developments around to achieve a harmonic and symboitic outcome with nature and the environment.

Major Developments
Downtown MRT Line LTA announced the plan to have a new downtown line in 2005, Rochor would have a station complete in 2016, entire project due to be complete in 2017. Downtown MRT station is situation beneath the covered rochor canal and the upcoming North South Expressway. This new line would increase the convenience of commuters to Rochor.
Rochor River Makeover In the early 2000s, Rochor canal along Rochor Canal Road was opened allowing motorist to view. Soon after it was covered with the additional of road lanes. Rochor river was part of PUB's Active Beautful Clean program. Rochor river experienced a makeover with boardwalks and plants that aims attracts pedestrians to come.
North South Expressway Ophir Rochor Development Ophir Rochor development is part of URA's vision for the extension of Singapore Central Busines District. The development aims to boost boost economical growth with hotels and offices envisioned of courtyard and plaza in park-like setting. Ophir Rochor development sits in a prime location of the demolished Rochor Centre.
North South Expressway runs from the north to the city. This expressway would be constructed underneath Rochor Canal Road, above Rochor MRT Station. This expressway aims to alleviates travel time needed from the north to the city by thirty percent. It also connects to other major expressway.

Tropic haven
landscape Design, Private Residential Garden Size : 8m x 8m, 36 square meter Period : January 2014 - February 2014 Synopsis : The aim is to design a 8m x 8m tropical garden. Selecting tropical native plants to create an enclosed natural garden for a family oriented client in mind. Creating an intimate space for meditation surrounded by tropical lush of greeneries. The mediation deck is immerse in tranquil by sound of the flowing water from the water wall to the tilapia pond beneath. A tropical haven in your own backyard.

An ecology haven is artificially created to attract and promote wild life. With the ecology habitat, wild life thrives by the selection of plants proposed. Public users are able to take a sneak peek at wild life such as monkeys or squrrels from a distance.
Natural Privacy
This short concealed deck way in to the undisturb eco habitat allows users to catch a glimpse of wild life. The deck walk is covered with wire mesh and netting that encourage natural greeneries to grow. This create a layer of privacy for the wild life.
Eco Steps Trail
Recycled log are proposed for pathing the stairs for the trail. A natural hiking experience for users.

Wired sculpture of soldiers are placed along the trails mimicking scences of battles of the past, soldiers defending Fort Siloso.

Dance Alley
Forgotten alleys of Aliwal Street hold potential to be dance alley attracting dance enthusiast to practice their dance step. With a diverse spaces catered to different types arts, Aliwal Street aims to be one of Singapore cultural node for the art scenes like the Esplanade. Mesmerizing night lightings of the plaza are attractions for general public to tour the park.

landscape Design, Public Plaza Location : Public Carparks and Alleys Period : May 2013 - Jul 2013 Synopsis : The aim was to re imagine forgotten spaces and negative spaces such as carparks and alleys to be public arts scapes that promotes activities. This park is an inspiration of mimosa plant which resonates with Aliwal Street character. The integrations of the structures with the greeneries define the spaces for activities according to the users. Alleys are converted to outdoor studios to facilitate undisturb working environment, other alleys are proposed to be dancing alley studio for performing enthusiasts. An underground carpark is proposed to turn the ground level into a lively art scape for the arts enthusiasts. Sustainabilty is a concern when designing, thus proposing recycled timber for the decking.

Taman persatuan
landscape Design, Public Plaza Location : Basketball Court Period : Jan 2013 - Mar 2013 Synopsis : Macpherson is an old residential estates that is unique with its own identity. The aim was to revamp the existing basketball court to an integrated park with various theme spaces to entice elderly and kids to dwell. The proposed structures are integrated with existing trees through out the park, at various levels for users to experience chilling at a greater height.
