Our Mission Longitude connects visionary leaders with the resources they need to affect change in their communities. Working in resource poor countries, Longitude provides volunteers, funding and programmatic support to move each of its partner organizations closer to self-sufficiency.
Our Vision By supporting the leaders of grassroots organizations, Longitude will continue to build organizations’ capacity to generate revenue, manage staff, and grow their own programming; to increase their efficiency and ability to raise funds independently of Longitude.

Volunteering with Longitude Longitude sees volunteering as a way of connecting cultures around the world. Longitude links volunteers with local community leaders in Ghana and India, giving volunteers the opportunity to experience what life is like in these diverse societies. We are looking for motivated and passionate volunteers who seek to assist in bringing educational opportunities, health facilities, and resources to those who need them most.
“Kumar said the villagers benefited by meeting people from outside their world, getting to speak English and exchange ideas. But the benefits were definitely mutual: We got to learn about them, too, their lives, goals and interests.
Volunteer Opportunities in India Through our partner organization ARV, volunteers can join or organize their own volunteer work camp to build houses with Dalit villagers. Our projects are dynamic, allowing volunteers the opportunity to develop their own projects or work within existing ones.
