Located in the Fort Pienc neighborhood of the Eixample district of Barcelona, the objective was to design a public library of a footprint of 360 square meters. Being adjacent to the Arc de Triomph metro station, this library will serve as the new community center for university students and nearby residents. In my library, there are three distinct areas that are separated based on the amount of noise created in three different working environments. The first three levels is a communal gathering area that features a large double-heighted atrium and allows for noisy interactions. The next level is a group work oriented space and the two uppermost levels are dedicated to individual work spaces and administrative offices. These three types of spaces also correlate to its interaction with the surrounding environment through different materials in the facade.

LEVELS BARCELONA, SPAIN OCTOBER 2017
Located in a university district of Barcelona, we were to design a restaurant of approximately 500 square meters that features brick as its main building material. We took a simple rectangular form and chose to create an interior experience composed of a series of levels that are defined by unique angles. Within these interior levels is a hierarchy of three separate dining spaces; a fully enclosed area of brick, a glassenclosed area with perforated brick, and a perforated open courtyard space. Upon entering the site, visitors walk through an immersive progression of slightly sloped ramps and steps that serve as spaces for rest and socializing. URBAN INFILL CHAMPAIGN, IL MARCH 2017
Within the community of downtown Champaign, an increase in the population of young professionals is clearly evident. In hopes of maintaining the spirited, urban environment that caters directly towards these young adults, this project proposes the design of a multilevel live-work infill building. This building consists of office spaces on the first two floors and residential apartments on the floors above.

STACKED CABINS KICKAPOO STATE PARK, IL OCTOBER 2016
The Stacked Cabins are made up of three sets of alternating, parallelogram shaped 250 square feet dwelling units. These units mimic the stacking motif of the original camp log cabin, and in turn allows the visitors to appreciate the raised views without the interference from trees or other cabins. The communal meeting space is made of three levels or a rotating rectangular space, and overlooks the cabins and docks at the nearby lake.

FARMER‘S MARKET CHAMPAIGN, IL APRIL 2016
The current Champaign farmer’s market is in need of a permanent structure with the ability to serve as a multipurpose space, Because of the growing appreciation for the performing arts, I proposed the design of a structure that provides a space for an outdoor stage and audience seating. I cut the plane the create three distinct extrusions - two that serve as the marketplace and have movable glass doors, and one that is a multipurpose grand staircase. There is also a central courtyard to accommodate for large crowds or as a performance area.

SKETCHES EUROPE
2017- 2018
During my time participating in a year-long study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain, I have had the incredible privilege of traveling throughout Europe. In order to fully document my journeys and improve my architectural explorations, I have compiled several hand drawn sketches that best depict my travels. All sketches are produced by pen.
