PROCESSES & materials All products in this catalogue began as an idea in Erica’s mind and were given virtual form using computer modeling software. Amazing machines dubbed “3D printers” were then used to bring the virtual designs into reality. What is 3D printing? 3D Printing is a catch-all term for a number of “additive manufacturing” technologies. In essence, a machine is used to apply or solidify small amounts of material in thin layers one on top of another to create a predetermined shape. Direct Printed Metals One type of 3D printing involves the use of stainless steel powder that is infused with bronze to create a finished product. All products marked STEEL in this catalogue are manufactured using this process. The steel/bronze form can then be plated with Antique Bronze (called Bronze in this catalogue) or 24K Gold (Gold Plated in this catalogue). This technology results in a slightly textured surface.
Antique Bronze Plated, Plain Steel infused with Bronze, Gold Plated
Printed and Cast Metals 3D forms can also be printed in wax and then cast using traditional investment casting methods. For complex forms, a new wax must be printed for each item cast. All items marked sterling silver or brass are printed in wax and then cast in solid sterling silver or yellow brass.
Printed Nylon A third type of 3D printing called SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) utilizes nylon powder that is selectively melted (sintered) with a laser to create the desired form. The nylon can then be dyed to achieve various colors. All Nylon items in this catalogue are made using tnis process.

Flat surfaces are individually polished to attain a smooth finish or filled with glass microbeads to create a unique bubbly appearance. Colors and colorways are mixed in small batches using pigmented resins, fine pigments, glitters, and natural minerals.
