The 7 habits of highly effective teens Habit 1: Be proactive, not reactive Definition: Being proactive is doing something good. Being reactive is when you get mad, and you start fighting.
Example: When I'm getting mad, I just take a breath and then I can be happy.
Importance: It is important to practice this habit because if you practice it, you can be positive instead of negative.

Habit 2: Have the end in mind Definition: First you must write your goals in a piece of paper so you can be practicing it to have a good future (completing the goals). Example: Sometimes I get a piece of paper and then write my goals for the future. Importance: It is important to write your goals because you can have a better future, but if you do not write it, you can have some problems in the future and you won’t have completed your goals. Habit 3: Put first thing first Definition: People don’t have enough time to do what they are going to do, you have to put the most important things first and the things that are not important you can put them for last.
Example: When I am doing homework, I check the date that it will expire so I do the homework that expires the same day and I do the other one that expires the other day.
Importance: It is important to organize the important things that you must do so you can finish them on time and do the other ones later. You can organize them from important to less important so you can finish everything on time.

Habit 4: Think Win-win Definition: When two people are competing for a price there is a win-lose but sometimes it can end with win-win that means that two persons can win but if its win-lose, one of them will lose and the other one win.
Example: When I’m doing a practice, the teacher says that the winner will get extra points, so it will be a win-lose and there is a 50% chance I can win and a 50% that I can lose so if I lose, I can tell the other person that he did well, but If I win, I will tell the same.
Importance: It is important to practice this habit because you can always be prepared to win or to lose.

Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood Definition: First you must hear the others one opinion, then you can talk because that is the key to be understood.
Example: I always hear someone’s opinion before sharing my own because if I don’t hear their opinion and I talk, they will not understand me but if I listen and then share my opinion, I can be understood.
Importance: It is important to practice this habit because you can be understood if you hear someone’s else opinion.

Habit 6: Synergize Definition: It is very good to make a solution with a partner, instead of doing it along.
Example: When I’m working with someone, we can find solutions of something very quickly, but when I’m working alone, I can’t make good solutions.
Importance: It is important to practice this habit because when you work with someone you can make a solution of something.

Habit 7: Sharpen your saw Definition: If you want to make your goals in your life, you need to have a personal self-sharp, taking care of your body, brain, heart, and soul.
Example: Sometimes I go to ride my bicycle, eat good food etc. I do this because I want to take care of my body.
Importance: It is important to practice this habit because if you don’t complete your difficulties, you can have consequences, but if you do them you can be good for your life.
