Force Sensitive Interaction Simple and intuitive input allows for smooth, fluid navigation of the device interface When the user applies pressure, strain gauges identify the direction and force and translate this information into movement through the interface. Three simple control gestures, pan zoom and rotate allow many new and novel navigation techniques; such as twisting to cycle through applications or images, zooming in and out of web pages, maps and media libraries. Don’t surf... Force sensitive interaction and a zoomable user interface allow users to experience the depth of information The zoomable user interface (ZUI) enables the user to explore deeper levels of information. Instead of traditional click and scroll methods, if they want to see more detail they can simply zoom in, it’s a very simple and literal model for an interface. The force sensitive interaction also allows for smooth analogous navigation which provides a much more fluid user experience. NEIL SHEPPARD - NORTHUMBRIA UNIVERSITY - ON THE MOVE
