Nestled in the trees is Lake Forest, a beautiful retreat from everyday life. She lives at the edge of the beauty, right on the water. Standing in front of her house she looks through the front windows straight out the back of the house into the lake. The crystal blue water peacefully floats along the sand below. Two little angels greet her at the front door with hugs and kisses. Then her knight greets her with a loving embrace and a kiss on the lips. She giggles as she wipes her pink lipstick from his smooth lips. She looks in his eyes and he smiles. The night goes on and after the children are asleep, Olivia and her husband, Chris, sit on the couch and watch their favorite evening shows. They love crime dramas and scandalous but intelligent shows like I.D., and the new shows from ABC and CBS. Olivia grabs a glass of her favorite Pino Noir and Chris gravitates towards his newspaper. She rests her feet in his lap and they sit peacefully doing their own thing but still being together. Not long after the 10 o’clock news, Olivia heads up to bed. Chris comes upstairs and climbs into bed next to her. He wraps his arm around her and whispers in her ear, “I love you”. She whispers back, “I love you too”. They drift to sleep awaiting until they awake the next day

Meet Olivia Olivia is a simple classy woman who starts her day with a warm, creamy latte created by her favorite kitchen appliance -- the Keurig machine. After finishing her beloved coffee, she heads upstairs to prepare for the day. Olivia lays her clothes on her bed and dances her way to the shower humming her favorite song. After a refreshing shower she gets dressed in her favorite outfit, a stunning tan pencil skirt, a pure white silk blouse and her favorite Kate Spade pink suede heels. Olivia dries her layered chocolate hair and puts on her brown eyes Dior eye shadow palette and a pink lip and then heads downstairs. From the counter she grabs her coveted Yves St. Laurent bag and the even more important coffee cup, and heads out the door. Once downtown, Olivia has a long day in the office. After all, it’s tough being a top magazine editor. She goes from a 9 A.M. meeting to a layout decision then back into another meeting. All day people are bustling around her but for a moment in the afternoon she gazes into her office and smiles at the dream she’s created. The afternoon is even busier, approving stories, layouts, fashion choices, designers, and calling clients. But finally, it is time to go home. After 45 minutes of travel Olivia finally gets off the highway and turns into a paradise.

Tactics: 

The Valentino Home Group will host a launch party at the sole store carrying the product. The guests invited to the party will be past clients, Bergdorf Goodman “Luxe” Tier Card holders, and various celebrities known to love Valentino. The party will be held in a small showroom with 4 rotating stands with the options of colors and prints available. Each stand will house 2 beds, one in each pattern and they will be featured in each of the 4 colors available. There will be tables in the middle of the rotating stands for dinner. The centerpieces on the tables are dollhouse recreations of the bedding sets with a floral centerpiece weaved around the pieces. As guests arrive they will check in at the front desk and receive a program complete with the fabric information, pricing, colors and order form. They will also receive a dinner menu which they will check off their options and hand it back to the front desk when completed.

The guests will get to walk around view the bedding and accessories and complete their order forms. Anyone who is wearing Valentino will receive a 10% discount. They will sit down to dinner and hear Mr. Valentino himself speak. Dessert and gifts are next. Each guest will leave with a Valentino accessory (bracelet for women, cuff links for men) and they will receive confirmation of their order. Guests will then enjoy music and socializing until midnight.

Intro: 

Guests who attend the launch event will receive 10% off of their order if they come to the event wearing Valentino.

The launch event attendees will turn in a program and their RSVP cards at the door as a pass to get into the event.

Guests outside of the event who have Bergdorf Goodman cards will receive an email with the official date the items hit stores. They can exclusively shop online or in store with a promotional code in the email.

Main: 

Customers who give their email will receive an immediate incentive offer in the email (either 25 dollars off choice item or 10% off purchase it is randomly generated). In order to redeem they have to print out the email and bring it back.

Customers can hashtag Valentino products on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to receive promotional pricing and other incentives during this period.

Clear: 

The email customers will receive a secondary exclusive sale invite as an incentive to shop the remaining products. They will be required to bring their pass back to the store.

Customers who shop Bergdorf Goodman will be randomly asked to view the Valentino Home collection and if they take a survey about what they would buy and won’t and why, they will receive a promotional offer for Valentino items.

The collection portrays floral and geometric patterns that weave with luxurious colors to create a fantasy collection that any home owner would want to own. The launch party for the collection will take place at a historic building in downtown New York close to Bergdorf Goodman’s where the collection is set to debut in a few weeks. This year previous clients, black card holders and celebrities will flock to 912 N. 7th street (2 blocks from Bergdorf Goodman’s) where they will view the collection the way it should be viewed. The bed sets will be on spinning platforms that will be accessible to clients so they can feel the velvet silk fabrics used. Valentino Home wants their clients up close and personal with the products because after all, the collection will be featured in the clients homes. These designs reflect a traditional print with a modern twist. Valentino has made floral and geometric garments for years but now it’s time to take it to the next level. “We are looking for something new but borrowed that people can feel comfortable with but still curious,” says Mr. Valentino himself. Valentino Garavani:

Valentino was born May 11, 1932 in Voghera, Italy. Valentino has currently founded 4 segments to his brand which include: Valentino RED, Valentino Garavani, Valentino, and Valentino Roma. Valentino’s passion began in 1952 in Paris where his first choice for apprenticeship was with Balenciaga. Instead of going to Balenciaga, Valentino went with Jean Dresses. There he helped sketch dress ideas. For 2

years he teamed up with Guy Laroche but continued working with Jean Dresses. There his early designs were lost, but luckily he was discovered by women like Elizabeth Taylor and others. Valentino eventually leaves Jean Dresses after a vacation incident but is rescued by his friend, Guy Laroche. In 1960, Valentino left Paris and opened his own store with his father and associate’s support. While running the store he flew from Paris for his first show. He became known for his red dresses and became known as “Valentino Red”. While at a Café, Valentino met Giammetti and a lasting friendship was

formed. Valentino finally had his international debut in 1962 in Florence. His first show was at the Pitti Palace and he was greeted by enthusiastic buyers and positive comments. Eventually Valentino made it to America where he caught the attention of Jackie Kennedy. He send models to give her a private viewing of the collection. He would later design the dress worn by Jackie at her wedding. During the 70’s Valentino built up an impressive client base. He was even offered a “Valentino Edition” ford. He continued work in fashion with Accademia Valentino, a place for the presentation of exhibitions, but also in life causes as well. In fact, Valentino and Giammetti created L.I.F.E., an association for the support of AIDS related patients. In 1998, Valentino and his partner Giammetti sold the company for 300 million. On September 4, 2007 Valentino announced that he would fully retire in January 2008. He delivered his last women’s ready-to-wear show in Paris on October 4, 2007.
