On a warm sunny day in a big ďŹ eld, Caitlin and Christopher Cotton were growing big and strong.



“Today’s the day that we’re g etting picked” shouted Caitlin. All the cotton had been waiting for this special day.

O they went to the Cotton School. Caitlin and Christopher were excited about their adventure.



When they arrived they got to play on the spinning wheel. It spun them around very fast and turned them into spools.


The spools got to choose what clothes they wanted to become. Caitlin and Christopher always wanted to be t-shirts.

Caitlin and Christopher were very excited. They wanted to learn how to be the best t-shirts ever!

“Ooooo, That looks fun!” said Caitlin. They were taught how to be woven into fabric.


The Loom Room


“What’s your favourite colour?” Caitlin asked Christopher. “Blue like the sky” said Christopher. It was fun to g et into the dye baths.



“ Hee hee that tickles!� gigg led Caitlin. The sewing machine vibrates a lot! Caitlin was having so much fun becoming the perfec t t-shirt .




Finally! Caitlin and Christopher had done it! Hooray! They felt so proud to have graduated from Cotton school.



“What are you two doing?” asked the seagull. “We’re t-shirts off to make new friends” chimed Caitlin and Christopher.

Caitlin and Christopher had made it all the way to a shop. They waited to see who would pick them.


“Bye Caitlin!”

Christopher was having fun playing in the garden. “Ouch!” shouted Christopher. A sharp branch had scratched him.



“Oh no, I’ve been ripped! What’s going to happen to me?” cried Christopher.


“Where am I?” said Christopher. “It’s so cold and horrible in here”


“You’re in a bin, you’re not a t-shirt anymore…” said a voice.

Meanwhile Caitlin was having lots of fun. A lovely girl called Emma took good care of her and wore her all the time.


Caitlin heard a familiar voice. “What happened!?” gasped Caitlin. “I was ripped and thrown away” cried Christopher.




“Oh no!” said Caitlin, “I’ve been ripped! I don’t want to go in the bin! I’m still a t-shirt!”



“Don’t worry! said Emmas mum. “This is Patchy!” Emmas mum put Patchy over the rip and they became best friends.



“Life is so much fun as a t-shirt” said Caitlin. “Especially when you’re with your best friends” said Patchy.



“If you look after me, we can be best friends forever!”
