Design Studio IV: Comprehensive Architectural Project with Courtney Jones and Maurizio Huaylla Spring 2012 Alexandra Barker, critic The studio proposed a transportation hub in the mega-city Lagos, Nigeria. The station connects three separate forms of transportation: the light rails, the bus rapid transit, and the ferry services. An investigation into the climate of Lagos, Nigeria inspired the concept for this station.

Housing and Urban Mixed Use Fall 2011 Craig Konyk, critic This studio explored multi-generational housing by looking at the changing definitions of the family that has come about through contemporary issues in our society. The extended family can be examined not only through a traditional understanding. Different types of relationships form complex personal and spatial arrangements between family members. These relationships can also occur between members of a community.

Design Studio I: Fundamentals Spring 2011 Alexandra Barker, critic
Popping
The project started with an exploration of different materials, which was then continued digitally in 3D Studio Max. A primary unit was modeled and then morphed to form an array. This array was then manipulated to reflect ideas about form from the hand-made material studies and also from an examination of a selected form of movement.

Computer Aided Construction with Justin Cho and Adam New Spring 2013 Chris Whitelaw, critic This project is a canopy designed for the Higgins Hall cafe. It is comprised of unique three-part units that were developed parametrically using grasshopper and manufactured using a CNC machine. The canopy creates a sense of enclosure and mimics the existing architecture of the cafe.
