A history of making dreams come true Since 1971, ErinoakKids has been a leader in serving children with disabilities and special needs. Today, we are the largest children’s treatment centre in the province, providing therapy, medical and support services for children in Peel, Halton and Dufferin. Together, we have the opportunity of a lifetime to create a community resource that will make a true difference for generations to come. Through our $20 million In My Dreams campaign, we are building three new sites to help children transcend the limits imposed by disability and other challenges.

Our new sites — one in Brampton, another in Mississauga and a third in Oakville, will replace our patchwork of outgrown, outdated and largely inaccessible sites. These new sites, set to open in 2017, will more than double our treatment and therapy space, and offer: • A controlled multisensory Snoezelen room for children with autism or developmental disabilities • Accessible playgrounds for recreation therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy • Therapeutic playrooms • A warm-water therapy pool (Brampton site) • Fitness facilities • A 26-bed respite facility, the largest of its kind in the province, for children who are medically fragile/technologically dependent, have complex care requirements or autism (Brampton site)

Dreams are within reach Every day at ErinoakKids, we nurture the dreams of children, youth and families. Some children dream of walking. Other children dream of finding a way to communicate. Still, others dream of managing daily tasks on their own. Families dream their children will be happy and successful. Brian Lo, whose daughter Emma was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy at age two, dreamed she would grow up to be a happy, confident and independent girl. Since Emma’s form of cerebral palsy affected her legs, she could only manage to crawl slowly and was unable to sit upright. Today, after receiving treatment at ErinoakKids, Emma can move around independently with the aid of a walker, climb stairs and has developed her fine motor skills. With your support, we can help make dreams come true for children like Emma.

Investing in the future of children and youth

2695 North Sheridan Way, Suite 120 Mississauga ON L5K 2N6

“ Our family first turned to ErinoakKids when our three year-old daughter was diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Jahleesa’s speech was severely delayed and my wife and I had serious concerns about how this might impact her future. From the very start of our journey, the staff at ErinoakKids have been by our side. They have offered support, encouragement and guidance in a safe and caring environment, and Jahleesa, now 10, is progressing steadily. Our concerns about her future have been transformed into excitement at all the possibilities.”

– AUDLEY STEPHENSON, JAHLEESA’S DAD
